Fox News host Riley Gaines has reacted to an old news report about the death of a 23-week-old baby. A Florida clinic allegedly threw the live baby in the trash during an abortion.According to a 2019 Life News report, a woman named Sycloria Williams visited an abortion clinic in Florida in 2006. During the operation, a 23-week-old live baby was delivered. However, the clinic owner allegedly put a biohazard bag over the baby and put the bag in the trash. This news has resurfaced on social media. Fox News host and vocal pro-life activist, Riley Gaines, reacted to it on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, writing:"This is what they mean when they say "women's rights" btw"According to the aforementioned report, very few states were required to report babies being born alive during abortion. Former head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Abortion Surveillance Unit, Dr. Willard Cates, MD, said:“(Live births) are little known because organized medicine, from fear of public clamor and legal action, treats them more as an embarrassment to be hushed up than a problem to be solved. It’s like turning yourself in to the IRS for an audit…what is there to gain? She delivered a speech at the Students for Life of America National Pro-Life Summit in Washington, D.C., in January this year.Gaines first praised the U.S. Vice President JD Vance for speaking up openly against abortion. She added:“I think over the past few years, national leaders, they view this issue as a nuanced one. They kind of want to sit on the fence. They don't really want to fully dip into the water. Maybe put a toe in, but that's as far as they're willing to go.”Labeling abortion a "billion-dollar business", Riley Gaines added:“A business, by the way, that acts as if they sell compassion. No, that's not what they're selling. They sell convenience and violence. We hear words, like reproductive rights, and healthcare, freedom, and bodily autonomy, and choice. But these words that they use, they're not accidental, they're designed to soften reality. "Reproductive rights never mentions the reproduction at that point has already occurred. Your reproductive rights were never harmed. Healthcare - it's never explained how ending a life qualifies as care. And choice never acknowledges that the child had no choice at all, as a matter of fact," she added.Notably, Gaines gave birth to her daughter named, Margot, in September last year with her husband, Louis Barker. She told the crowd that it is the "most magical and transformative" thing one can experience.Just a day before the summit, a pro-life march was also held in Washington. Riley Gaines praised the students for not only taking part in it but also being the "ones at the front."
