On August 21, Blake Neff slammed Candace Owens after she claimed Tyler Robinson’s UVU security footage presented at the preliminary hearing was altered. Earlier on August 20, Candace in her X post made a bold claim that Charlie Kirk’s murder suspect’s footage was run through an AI program and had it’s aspect ratio adjusted before it was shown at the preliminary hearing. The political commentator wrote:

“For all the liars who lie about everything… No—I did not in anyway alter the footage or run it through an AI program. Yes, the footage presented at the preliminary hearing had its aspect ratio adjusted which made the suspect appear much thinner. Apologies will be considered in the order they are received in.”

Blake Neff, the producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, responded to Owens’ post by questioning why Tyler Robinson’s defence did not act during the week-long preliminary hearing if the video was adjusted using AI. Blake wrote:

“Candace is now claiming, explicitly, that Utah prosecutors deliberately altered UVU security footage to frame Tyler Robinson, and also that Robinson’s defense lawyers (who have access to the same evidence) did nothing to point this out or contest it during a week-long preliminary hearing.”

He went on to call Candace Owens’ allegations ‘ridiculous’ and ‘false.’ Blake Neff added that Candace wants Kirk’s murder suspect to get away with his alleged crime.

“She of course knows this is ridiculous and false. She just thinks other people will be dumb enough to believe her, and her goal is to spray enough squid ink in the public forum to taint the jury and allow Charlie’s killer to get away with it.”

Candace Owens responded to accusations of misleading her followers with AI altered image

Recently on August 11, the former host of The Daily Wire replied to a tweet claiming she showed an AI-enhanced image to mislead her followers. Candace Owens said that the video presented in the court was compressed.

“This deserves to be community noted because it is an outright lie. The photo was not in any way enhanced by AI technology. To the contrary the public was shown compressed footage by the court.”

While replying to @thevivafrei, the political commentator further wrote:

“Viva is welcome to continue his descent into Candace Derangement Syndrome as he can bank on Canada’s free health care system to support his decline. What he is not free to do is to lie blatantly and suggest we used AI tools to deceive the public.” she added.

Candace Owens faced criticism after she shared the new photo of Kirk’s alleged killer captured from UVU’s security footage during her recent podcast episode. The podcaster even alleged that the media attempted to create a narrative around Robinson by purposefully promoting his photos in a maroon tee on their platforms because the man believed to be Charlie's killer wore a similar tee in the security video.
