Tom Segura's estranged wife Christina P says “we just couldn't work things out” as she opens up about divorce 

Tom Segura's wife Christina Pazsitzky broke her silence on their split this week, addressing the news directly on Your Mom's House. The fifty-year-old comedian had Duncan Trussell filling in as guest host for what she called the "divorce episode," setting the tone early:

"Mom's drinking and smoking on this episode."

Twenty years together, and now it's over. Pazsitzky told Trussell she felt she needed to say something after word had already begun spreading that the two had separated. She got visibly emotional immediately.

"Yes, Tom and I are divorcing, and it is extremely sad."

She pushed through it though, adding,

"Sorry, I didn't want to cry this soon. It is very sad. That being said, we have tried to work it out for several years for the sake of our children and our family, and we gave it all we could, but we just couldn't work things out. We are no longer a couple."

Their two kids remain the priority, Pazsitzky made clear, as the former couple figures out what comes next. Over two decades, the pair had built comedy careers, a podcasting empire and a family together. As per her own words on the episode, she called it

"a really good run."

Christina tells fans this is not an ugly divorce as she looks back on life with Tom Segura:

Pazsitzky continued opening up on the episode, this time addressing her longtime listeners directly.

"I wanted to address the audience specifically because we've been through a lot together — for those of you that have listened to us since the very beginning — we've been through Tom and I getting married and living in Silver Lake and being two broke comics. We've been through births and deaths, tragic accidents, cancer, COVID, all the things, and I want you to know that I'm still your mom, and I'm still here, and we will survive."

She was quick to reassure fans that things between her and Tom Segura remained amicable. No sides needed to be taken, she made clear.

"This is not an ugly divorce. Like, we're cool, dude."

As per a report shared by the Los Angeles Times, the two first got together in their twenties, both working as stand-ups on the Los Angeles comedy scene. Pazsitzky reflected on how young they were back then, describing themselves as "kids," and acknowledging that people change over the course of multiple decades. She looked back fondly on what she called a "wild ride," recalling the days of being broke together in Silver Lake and getting married with just two hundred dollars between them.

Aside from the topic of their separation, Tom Segura has kept busy on the professional front. As per a report shared by USA Today, following the success of Your Mom's House, Segura and Pazsitzky launched their own production company, YMH Studios, which became home to the podcast and several others.

The company has grown into something considerably bigger since those early days. YMH Studios is now a leading independent comedy network in the podcasting space, generating more than five hundred million annual impressions across a network of twenty-five shows. The company runs its own in-house advertising and sales infrastructure and operates a direct-to-consumer business that produces and distributes premium live events, comedy specials and exclusive content.

As per a report shared by Deadline back in May 2026, Fox Entertainment's newly formed Fox Creator Studios and YMH Studios entered into a strategic multi-project partnership to develop, finance and produce a broad slate of original content, to be released via YMH Studios' direct-to-consumer platforms. Billy Parks, Head of Fox Creator Studios, told Deadline,

"What Tom and YMH have built goes far beyond podcasting or stand-up. They've created a true direct-to-consumer entertainment business with a loyal audience, proven monetization, and a repeatable creative engine. That's exactly the kind of creator-led ecosystem Fox Creator Studios was built to support and help scale."

The initial slate, which moves into production this year, includes a stand-up comedy showcase spotlighting both established and emerging voices, a horror comedy animated series and a live-action comedy series set in an airport bar. Segura himself shared his thoughts on the partnership, telling Deadline,

"We've spent years building a business where we can create independently and stay directly connected to our audience. Fox Creator Studios understands that model and brings the infrastructure and reach to help us expand it in a meaningful way."

On top of the Fox deal, Tom Segura has headlined seven Netflix comedy specials since 2014. He also created, stars in and executive produces the dark comedy Bad Thoughts on the streamer, with its six-episode second season having launched on May twenty-fourth.
