President Trump jokingly floated the idea of moving to Israel and becoming its prime minister while claiming his popularity in the country. On Tuesday morning, Trump gave a telephone interview to Fox & Friends to deliver a final message to voters. During the discussion, the president was asked about the allegedly growing "anti-Israel" sentiments among many young voters, including liberals as well as conservatives. In response, the president stressed the good relationship with Israel. He mentioned the $4 billion in annual aid to Tel Aviv and revealed that he and Netanyahu had reached an agreement months ago that the US would be "stopping" the support.

Further into the interview, Trump said that Democrats, specifically mentioning Abdul El-Sayed, used this as a "talking point" to target Republicans. He said that Israel doesn't "need" the aid anymore but asserted that he would give it to them if they needed it. Claiming a high approval rating in Israel, the POTUS quipped:

"Let me tell you something. If they do need it, if for some reason they do need it or they need help, so I'm the number one. I was so voted. I'm at 99% approval rating in Israel. Can you believe it? In fact, if people ever got tired of me in the U.S., I'll move to Israel, become prime minister... Think of it. I'm at 99. I have the highest approval rating of anybody in history because I've been, you know, they've been a great partner. But what we did, we stopped Iran. Iran was an unstoppable force. We knocked the h*ll out of them."

Trump claims Benjamin Netanyahu himself proposed cutting annual aid

During Tuesday's telephone interview, Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade asked the POTUS why the US is cutting off aid to Israel by the end of the year. Trump replied:

"Because they don't need it, Brian. I mean, I asked them because they don't need it. And because why should we suffer the slings from lunatics like an El-Sayed when they don't need it?... Israel is a very thriving country. They don't need it. If they did need it, I would say keep it going. But Bibi Netanyahu, we reached an agreement on that. And can I be honest with you? He brought it up. He brought it up. He said, 'I think it would be appropriate if we do not receive aid' because he understands that this is one of their points of contention."

Trump further insisted on his partnership with Israel in the war against Iran and told Fox & Friends hosts that while the US would be discontinuing aid to Israel, Tel Aviv can always buy weapons from America.

Elsewhere in his final message to voters on the polling day, Trump praised his administration's Venezuela operation, the Greenland deal, border enforcement, and bringing investments into America.
