On October 10, President Trump addressed the public at his midterm campaign rally in Clarksville, Tennessee. During his speech, the POTUS suggested renaming the Pacific or Atlantic Ocean after himself. The president said that after he renamed the Gulf and the lake, it was time to add an ocean. He said he could either change its name to ‘Trump Ocean’ or ‘Ocean of the Americas.’ The president first mentioned the idea of a name change to the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean at the time he signed the executive order for renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America.

At the latest rally in Tennessee, Trump said:

“So, we've got the Gulf. We've got a beautiful lake. Now, somebody said, "You need a river." So, I don't want to change the name of the Hudson River. That’s too much. Henry Hudson. He did a good job setting up that sucker a long time ago. So, we need a river. We need an ocean. So he's thinking of either the Atlantic or the Pacific.”

He continued:

“We call it the Trump Ocean or the ocean of the American or something like that. No, we have to — we should have before I get out. I think we should have an ocean, and we need a great river. Now I'm not changing the name of the Mississippi. I love Mississippi.”

Trump renamed Lake Ontario

Earlier on August 27, the president signed an executive order to rename Lake Ontario. He changed its name to Lake America. His order is strictly applicable to the US federal agencies, documents, and maps. It lacks the authority to alter how Canada, international organisations, or other countries refer to the lake.

Following this, he even proposed to change the name of the state ‘New Mexico’ in September through his social media posts.

In January of last year, the president signed another executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico. The president changed it to ‘Gulf of America’ on the day of his second inauguration.

In related news, the POTUS most recently even renamed AI. He changed Artificial Intelligence to Super Intelligence. In his UN speech, Trump said that the term ‘artificial’ looked ‘fake,’ so he would rename it as ‘Super Intelligence.’ On September 29, the POTUS signed a Joint Commitment on Super Intelligence with tech leaders like Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Sundar Pichai, and more. In his recent post, the president said that anyone who uses the term ‘Artificial Intelligence’ and not ‘Super Intelligence’ will be considered an ‘enemy.’
