“Tyler Robinson was set up as a patsy”: Candace Owens challenges Andrew Wilson’s position on Charlie Kirk’s murder suspect amid debate discussion

On August 8, Candace Owens reacted after Andrew Wilson pointed out how she has defended Charlie Kirk’s murder suspect, Tyler Robinson, over the months. Wilson also highlighted that Owens has dubbed Tyler as a ‘patsy’ of the feds in Kirk’s death. Andrew’s tweet came amid their discussions over face-to-face debate about Charlie Kirk’s murder conspiracy theories. In his recent tweet, Andrew said:

“All evening the Candace Owens people have been saying she makes no claims so she doesn’t have to defend any. They claim I said there was overwhelming evidence for the prosecution of Robinson which is true I said that so I meed to defend it.”

Andrew went on to say that despite evidence presented by the prosecution, Candace Owens has made reverse claims to defend Tyler Robinson. Wilson continued:

“However, Candace did make a reverse claim. She said there is overwhelming evidence Robinson was set up by the feds as a patsy. So I will take the position that the evidence is more compelling that Tyler was a lone shooter not set up by the feds. She takes the position of her claim, which she says has overwhelming evidence he was a patsy put there by the feds. If she agrees, then we are all set.”

Candace Owens expressed her conviction that Tyler Robinson was being set up as a scapegoat in the assassination of Charlie Kirk. She further demanded Andrew Wilson to engage in an offline debate. Candace Owens wrote:

"Geez, he is still going. Yes, Andrew. I firmly believe there is evidence Tyler Robinson was set up as a patsy and I am more than happy to defend that claim. Can we now take this offline and organize the debate officially. This is just getting exhausting, which I think is your intention. Yes or no? We aren’t doing this all day again.”

The political commentator went on to claim that there is more evidence of Tyler being set up as a patsy than of him committing the crime. She said:

“And to be extra clear—- yes, yes, yes I accept the claim there is more evidence Tyler Robinson was set up as a patsy than evidence that he committed this crime. I am willing to defend, gladly, with the facts of the case presented thus far.”

Andrew Wilson claimed he offered Candace Owens 300k for a debate

On August 5, Andrew Wilson appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast and stated that he offered Candace Owens to debate over conspiracies of Charlie Kirk’s murder for $300k. He also claimed that there is overwhelming evidence against Tyler Robinson, whom Owens is defending. He even showed support for Erika Kirk against Candace’s accusations.

Owens first responded to Wilson’s debate demand with a counteroffer of $500k. Andrew said he would raise the money via crowdfunding for this debate. Candace agreed to his initial offer of $300k. She said that Andrew will have to travel to her, given her seven-month pregnancy. She further shared the focus points for their debate in her following tweets.

Owens even added that their debate will be streamed live and both parties will be given time for cross-examination of evidence. She said that the public will decide the winner and loser of the debate. Candace also demanded that TPUSA openly say that Andrew Wilson will debate on their behalf.

For those unversed, Candace Owens has been allegedly investigating Charlie’s murder, and she has repeatedly rejected Tyler as the lone shooter behind his assassination. Instead, she has raised questions about Kirk’s company, TPUSA, and even his wife, Erika Kirk.
