“This trial has nothing to do with me”: Suge Knight speaks out ahead of Tupac Shakur’s murder trial

One of the most prominent founding members of Death Row Records, Suge Knight, who is also the one and only eyewitness to the murder of the legendary gangsta rapper, Tupac Shakur, during a recent conversation with ABC News, made it quite clear that he still has no intention to cooperate with the authorities as prosecutors try to convict Duane Davis, aka Keefe D, ahead of 2Pac's muder trial.

It has been three decades since the assassination of rap legend 2Pac. As per ABC News, Keefe D was arrested in Las Vegas and was taken into custody in 2023 after being reportedly accused of planning the murder of 2Pac in 1996.

The Picture Me Rollin' hitmaker, Tupac Shakur, was shot in Las Vegas in a BMW car with Suge Knight sitting beside him. The shooting took place after both of them watched the Mike Tyson vs Bruce Seldon fight, which took place at the MGM Grand.

According to ABC News, the hip-hop record executive, Suge Knight, who is currently serving time in a San Diego correctional facility after being sentenced to 28 years in prison for a hit-and-run case in 2015, made it clear that he does not want to participate in any capacity in Tupac Shakur's murder trial. Suge Knight told ABC News:

"This trial has nothing to do with me and if somebody brings me there, it's gonna hurt whoever brings me there. I promise you that."

As Suge Knight reiterated that he wants no participation in 2Pac's murder trial, he stuck to his decision not to cooperate with the authorities, and further noted:

"They make me come there against my will, if Keffe D's lawyers bring me there, it don't look good for him. If the prosecution brings me there, it don't look good for them. Leave me out of it."

Suge Knight shared that he still misses Tupac Shakur

While it has been thirty long years since 2Pac was killed, Suge Knight opened up and confessed while speaking with ABC News that he continues to miss the Hit Em Up rapper. Knight said:

"There's not a day that goes by that me, personally, doesn't think about Tupac, or I miss Tupac. That's my brother."

As Knight mentioned Tupac's contribution to hip-hop culture and music, he also talked about his teenage son, Legend, being a fan of the Write This Down rapper. Suge also noted how Shakur's music inspires the younger generation as well. Knight said:

"My youngest son, his name is Legend. He plays basketball. He's great at it. Sports, he's smart in school, but on his own, he's an artist. He's a rapper. He's only 16, and his favorite rapper is Tupac. His friends' favorite rapper is Tupac. So this younger generation still believes and loves Tupac, my own son."

Knight further added:

Trending

"Tupac is not here. Well, I wouldn't say he's not here because he's in everybody's mind, and the people who knew him, he's in their heart."
