The details of Alex Duong’s marriage to Christine are unknown, though an Instagram post from 2022 celebrating their anniversary implies that Alex Duong and his wife, Christine, were in a relationship before 2018 and had been married for about 4 years by 2022.

"It's really been four years since she said yes. Thank you for always making me better than I was yesterday. You're an amazing wife, an incredible mother, and a good human being. Happy anniversary"

In the same year, Alex Duong also marked the event of Valentine's Day with another sweet tribute to his beloved partner when he stated:

"Happy Valentine's Day to my queen @xtinahuong. I heard a quote that said, "any woman who marries a comedian is an absolute saint. She's been that and more—a mother to our beautiful daughter, a fur mama, and my rock."

Alex Duong concluded his sweet tribute with the following statement:

"Nobel peace prize type stuff. I love you and I know our family is in good hands thanks to you."

Alex Duong's fundraiser campaign exceeds initial target amount

Alex Duong died on Mar. 28. The actor-comedian passed away after his one-year fight with cancer. He was 42 years old.

According to the statement made by his friend Hilarie Steele on GoFundMe, the actor-comedian died with his loved ones by his side. His wife and 5-year-old were able to say goodbye.

"He was alert enough to say goodbye to his little girl, whom he has treasured every moment since the day she was born."

Steele also expressed his gratitude to those who showed their support in the update. So far, the campaign has raised over $109,000, which is way above the initial target of $95,000.

"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. At the same time, with Alex passing, Christina's situation has become more serious and the financial needs ahead are much greater than we could have anticipated."

Steele continued, explaining that the funds collected will be used for Alex Duong's family's needs.

"Alex's memorial service, Everest's education needs, ongoing care, daily support, and what lies ahead for his family mean we must continue raising funds beyond this initial goal."

According to the Los Angeles Times, Duong was diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma in the year 2025. This is a rare and aggressive type of cancer that develops in the soft tissues of the body.

The manager noticed that Duong's eye looked as though it was about to pop out due to swelling and discoloration, which led to the diagnosis. Duong's tumor was also "extremely aggressive," which eventually led to the loss of his left vision.

Duong also suffered from "excruciating back pain" that caused him to frequently visit hospitals to undergo chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

The tumors, however, caused Duong to start suffering from seizures.

In her statement, Steele wrote early in March that Christine worked full-time to care for her husband and their child. She also wrote about how their firstborn was bringing light to their dark times.

"Children have a way of reminding us to keep going, even in the hardest moments."
