Journalist and writer Carole Radziwill shared her thoughts about Ghislaine Maxwell in a recent interview piece published by The New York Times on March 26. According to The New York Post, Radziwill’s name resurfaced in the Epstein files. She also had friendly ties with Maxwell at one point. Remembering her, Radziwill said during the interview:

“Imagine knowing someone and even being friendly with them and then they turn out to be, like, a monster.”

She mentioned that Maxwell also introduced her to former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. She had also been to a few parties hosted by Maxwell. However, Radziwill confessed that she did not know Jeffrey Epstein. About Maxwell, she said:

“I was friends with her in the early 2000s, I don’t know, like, for five or six years.”

Carole Radziwill went on to say:

“The thing about her that made it easy for me to spend any time with her at all was that she was very intelligent, she was educated. If you lined up 10 women and you asked, like, pick the woman who would be involved in an international s*x trafficking ring, it would not be her.”

Radziwill also added that she was shocked to learn about Ghislaine Maxwell’s alleged deeds. Meanwhile, Carole Radziwill mentioned that her mother-in-law knew that being a public face came with a lot of misunderstandings. She added that although she was not fine with it initially, she eventually came to terms with it.

What did Carole Radziwill say about RHONY, New York, the 90s, and cellphones?

Carole Radziwill had previously appeared in The Real Housewives of New York City from 2012 to 2018. The interview piece mentioned that she will be appearing in the new (16th) season of the reality TV show. Speaking about it, she said:

“To go back to something that I was such a big part of you know, is a bit of a risk for me.”

She mentioned that executive producer Andy Cohen told her via email that the news of her return made many people happy. He also said that Radziwill could have a say on her screen time. In August 2025, Radziwill sat down for an interview on the We Met At Acme Podcast. During the conversation, Carole Radziwill reminisced about the 90s and how New York used to be at the time. She said:

“Well, there was a lot of things obviously to be nostalgic in the 90s and the early 2000s before social media, before cell phones, even, you know, there was just a more of a fluid, a fluidness to New York nightlife.”

Radziwill added:

“You would wander around, you would pop into a restaurant, then you'd go to a club, like you'd there was just it was just easier. Now it's very formalized, I feel like. And also because we didn't have cell phones, we trusted each other.”

According to Carole Radziwill, cellphones have broken the trust among friends nowadays. Because now people are sharing their updates and locations. Not only that, but it has also made plans easier to cancel.
