Widely known for her sharp sense of humor, the comedian-turned-reality TV star Kathy Griffin has lately been all over social media after she called out the renowned TV host Jimmy Fallon for reportedly banning her from his popular talk show, The Tonight Show, stating she might be too controversial, according to Entertainment Weekly.Kathy Griffin, 65, who is also an actress and was previously married to Randy Bick, reportedly claimed that it has been over 10 years since she was invited to the show as a guest.The Suddenly Susan actress, Griffin, besides calling out Jimmy Fallon for banning her from his show, also criticized him for platforming the Irish UFC fighter Conor McGregor, who was involved in a sexual assault case in 2024, as per Variety. However, according to Entertainment Weekly, on June 30, 2026, Kathy Griffin shared a video on Instagram, in which she targeted Jimmy Fallon and said:"I have not done the Jimmy Fallon show since it was on at 12:30 Eastern and Pacific, so I guess I’m banned from the Fallon show, or inappropriate, or too controversial."She continued:"I don’t even know. When you’re banned from a show — and if you guys know me, I’m banned from most of them. You’re welcome, America and Indonesia. They don’t usually tell you you’re banned. While Griffin slammed Fallon for inviting Conor McGregor, whom she referred to as a "convicted rapist," to his show, she went ahead and noted:"I do think it was a bad call for him to have convicted rapist Conor McGregor on. I think the Fallon folks made a mistake by having Conor McGregor on. I think it sends yet another message to women and marginalized folks everywhere that we're not equal and you can do anything to us, and the perpetrators are still going to be out there being glorified."While talking about how one must be certain whom to cancel and whom not, Kathy Griffin further added:"It kind of reminds me of when Fallon had [Donald Trump] on and then he petted [his] hair, or as I call it, bird's nest. I don't know, that didn't sit well with me. I didn't like when Lorne Michaels had [Trump] host [Saturday Night Live]... I think it's time we kind of make up our minds about who we're going to cancel it and who we're not. Take it from the most canceled celebrity in history — look it up.
