Frankie Muniz, star of Malcolm in the Middle, and Paige Price Muniz have announced that they are divorcing after over six years of marriage. In a joint statement released on July 1, the couple revealed that they had split in private prior to making the decision to file for divorce.

Frankie Muniz's net worth

Frankie Muniz's estimated net worth is $30 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. His fortune mainly comes from his acting career, especially from his leading part as Malcolm Wilkerson in the popular Fox comedy Malcolm in the Middle, which ran from 2000 to 2006. He became one of the most well-known child actors of the early 2000s because of his performance, which also garnered him two Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy.

Muniz reportedly rose to become one of the highest-paid child actors on television during the height of the show's popularity. His pay increased from about $30,000 each episode at first to $75,000 and then $150,000 per episode during the last season. He reportedly made over $10 million from the sitcom alone, not counting syndication residuals.

Frankie Muniz's income was greatly boosted by his movie career. My Dog Skip, Big Fat Liar, Agent Cody Banks, and Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London were among the family-friendly hit films in which Muniz starred. He reportedly made about $2 million from the original Agent Cody Banks movie and $5 million for its sequel.

Frankie Muniz was successful in expanding his career outside of Hollywood. He competed in Formula BMW, the Champ Car Atlantic Championship, the ARCA Menards Series, and now the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series as part of his career in auto racing. In addition, Frankie Muniz participated in reality TV shows, such as Dancing with the Stars, where he placed third, and he temporarily played drums for the band Kingsfoil.

Frankie Muniz has also made investments in business ventures. Before building a family home with a professional racing simulator room in north Phoenix, he and Paige had an olive oil and specialty foods company in Scottsdale, Arizona. Over the years, he has invested in several multimillion-dollar properties in Arizona and California.

‘Malcolm In the Middle’ star announces divorce with wife Paige

Following a private period of separation, Paige and Frankie Muniz announced their decision to split up on July 1. Frankie wrote the following in a joint statement posted on social media:

"Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage."

He continued that they will remain close friends and will be devoted co-parents to their five-year-old son, Mauz, despite their divorce:

"After 10 beautiful years together, we’ve grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents. We share an incredible son who remains the center of our world, and we’re both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we’ve shared."

Frankie Muniz praised Paige for the sacrifices she made during their relationship and also disclosed that the couple intends to co-parent their son while continuing to run Muniz Racing:

"I’m endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she’s done for me and our family. She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter. That foundation of respect and friendship isn’t going anywhere. We’re excited to keep building Muniz Racing together and to co-parent our boy with the same teamwork and love we’ve always had."

Muniz concluded with thanks for the support they have received and asked for privacy at this time:

"We’re closing one chapter with gratitude and opening the next with bright futures ahead, for us as individuals and especially for our son. Thank you for the love and support. We both choose to not entertain any questions on this matter. Please respect our families privacy during this time."

When the announcement was first made public, the couple posted a video of themselves and their son dancing to We The Kings' song Check Yes Juliet. However, the post was then removed and replaced with a family photo with the same caption.

After the first post was criticized online, Paige went on to explain it. She wrote:

“Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old fun video of our family because people are so cruel to you. This world is so f***ed.”

She continued:

“Divorce is bad, sure — it’s not like we’re excited about it … but we’re two adults who know how to be on the same team. I can’t believe people could scrutinize that.”

The couple started dating after they met back in 2016 at the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational golf event. They got engaged in 2018, eloped in October 2019 and got married in February 2020. They will now co-parent their son, Mauz Mosley Muniz, who was born in March 2021.
