Barry Manilow has canceled two Las Vegas performances after coming down with bronchitis, forcing the 83-year-old singer to step away from the stage soon after his return from a tour break.
The Mandy singer was scheduled to perform at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino on Friday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 10.
This information was provided by his agents, who mentioned that he became ill after the comeback show.
“After a triumphant welcome-back concert on Thursday, Barry got hit with bronchitis and had to cancel his Friday and Saturday shows.”

Barry Manilow’s Friday performance reportedly ended early after he sang two songs and left the stage. Per Variety, citing Vital Vegas, his band played on until it was announced that the concert was over.
It was also stated by the concertgoers that they had received email notifications from Ticketmaster about the refund policy for the cancelled performance. They are expected to receive further information through the platform.
Barry Manilow had resumed his performance at the Westgate on Thursday, Oct. 8, after his last performance on Aug. 22.
Barry Manilow’s health: cancer diagnosis, surgery, and recovery
The singing icon previously noted that the intense itinerary had pushed both himself and his bandmates too far, and that was why he decided to stop the tour before resuming in Las Vegas later in October.
Barry Manilow also revealed in December 2025 that he was diagnosed with lung cancer at stage 1 during the preceding month. He underwent a lobectomy where a lobe of his lung was removed, enabling the other parts to expand and work.

At the time, he shared an update on his health to his supporters in a statement:
“As many of you know, I recently went through six weeks of bronchitis followed by a relapse of another five weeks. Even though I was over the bronchitis and back on stage at the Westgate Las Vegas, my wonderful doctor ordered an MRI to make sure that everything was OK.”
The Can't Smile Without You hitmaker continued:
“The MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed. It’s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That’s the good news.”

Following the operation, Manilow concentrated on his recovery as his doctors told him that his lungs needed some time to heal, although he was still able to complete a summer tour consisting of 29 shows over 68 days.
The latest cancellations come at a time when he is still performing after his previous health struggles.
Meanwhile, his representatives have not announced a new date for the canceled shows, leaving fans waiting for updates on his return to the stage.
