What happened to Jonathan Majors? Actor makes surprising reaction to on-set crash during action scene mishap

Jonathan Majors alarmed many when clips of his fall from a window while shooting for a yet-to-be-named action thriller, financed by The Daily Wire, emerged.

Reported first by Deadline, the video depicts the actor and co-star JC Kilcoyne backing away from a scene before disappearing out of view behind some blinds.

From the sounds heard in the video, the breaking of glass can be heard, followed by the crew making an immediate reaction and checking up on the actors.

The voices from the scene question whether the two actors were safe, receiving confirmation that they were not hurt. Specifically, one of the voices is identified as that of Jonathan Majors, asking the crew if the scene was filmed.

"Did we shoot it? Use it."

As reported by the production, the window used in the falling incident had been replaced with tempered glass, which would be used during an upcoming stunt sequence. Producer Dallas Sonnier told Entertainment Weekly:

"The actors' fall was shorter than the failed movie careers of the now-union reps."

Representatives for Jonathan Majors and JC Kilcoyne did not issue immediate public responses following the circulation of the footage.

But later on, according to reports from Kilcoyne's representative, JC felt fine with the entire ordeal and felt safe throughout the process. According to Deadline:

"JC did not feel unsafe on set and continues to have a positive experience working on the project."

The incident comes amid wider tensions surrounding the project.

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) went on strike due to labor issues associated with the conditions of the work. This only heightened the awareness of the set environment where the movie is being filmed.

However, according to Sonnier, this is no matter for worry for the production team. He told Deadline:

"We are too busy being bad asses, blowing sh*t up, flying helicopters, and killing movie terrorists to concern ourselves with four assholes with signs on the sidewalk and their illegitimate 'strike.'"

Meanwhile, the project is Jonathan Majors' return after he was found guilty of misdemeanor third-degree assault and second-degree harassment of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in December 2023.
