What happened in Liam Payne's final hours? New court statements from female escorts reveal fresh details about singer's last moments in Buenos Aires

Newly reported sworn statements from two women who said they spent time with Liam Payne on the day of his death have provided additional details about the singer's final hours in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

As reported by Daily Mail, the women, identified as Aldana Serrano and Lucila Goitea, told investigators that they had been employed by the former One Direction star on the morning of October 16, 2024, from the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.

The pair alleged Liam Payne's behavior became increasingly unpredictable after he realized he did not have enough cash to pay the agreed fee.

In lieu of the agreed money, they alleged that Liam Payne had promised them his gold Rolex watch, which he broke subsequently.

The escorts also alleged he struck the hotel television several times and insisted money did not make him happy.

"And then he broke the TV, he punched it. He made us understand that he could smash everything because he knew he could pay for it."

One of the women said Liam Payne appeared intoxicated, performed some of his own songs, and asked for cocaine during their time together.

After leaving the hotel, the women said they informed hotel staff about Liam Payne's behavior. They later returned around 4 p.m. to retrieve belongings they had left behind, claiming the singer apologized for how he had acted earlier in the day.

Less than two hours later, Liam Payne died after falling from the balcony of his third-floor hotel room. He was 31.

Toxicology results previously released by authorities found cocaine, alcohol, and the prescription sedative Klonopin in Payne's system at the time of his death.

The newly disclosed statements add to the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the singer's death.

Authorities have continued examining the events leading up to the fatal fall, while legal proceedings related to the case remain ongoing.

According to Crispin Butler, the senior coroner for Buckinghamshire, there have been no updates from the police since the last pre-inquest review in January of last year.

During that review, he indicated that he would wait for complete reports and testimony before conducting a full inquest.

"Since the last pre-inquest review, we have had no further disclosure of evidence from Argentina via the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. My understanding is the investigations are continuing, and I await further developments. Documentation received prior to this pre-inquest hearing have undergone a process of translation."

Meanwhile, the new testimonies come days after Kate Cassidy, the former girlfriend of Payne, removed her tribute tattoos for the late singer.

On July 28, the social media influencer took to her Instagram Stories to post a video of the laser removal process. She included a text overlaying the clip, which said:

"decided to get some tattoos removed that were done poorly, will be getting redone eventually"

Cassidy didn't elaborate on when she plans to replace her tribute tattoo for Payne.
