Lucki's name was all over social media on Saturday night. The Chicago rapper was allegedly stabbed outside ComplexCon, amid claims that a brawl broke out between the Do You Want rapper and Playboi Carti's crew. A video that spread quickly across platforms shows Lucki, dressed in a camouflage jacket, being walked out by security to a black luxury car, with a crowd visibly gathered around him.

Several accounts claimed he had sustained a neck injury, though none of that had been confirmed by police, health officials, or festival organizers as of Saturday night. What sparked the alleged altercation, and where exactly it took place, remains unclear.

Lucki had addressed the Playboi Carti beef:

As per Revolt, Lucki hopped on his Instagram Story in Sept. 2024 and had some things to say about Playboi Carti. The Chicago rapper has never been shy about airing things out publicly, and this was no different.

A chain he bought had apparently rubbed Carti the wrong way. Lucki wasn't having it,

"Like I said from the jump, I don't dislike you. You think yesterday 'cause I bought a chain and I said, 'Crosses up' that I was sneak dissing you 'cause you made a song that said, 'Upside down cross tat on my neck,' but it wasn't that though, I just bought a chain and was saying 'Crosses up.' You just insecure because you don't love Jesus like that."

He also pulled up old DMs showing Carti gassing him up back in 2023. Lucki followed that up with a joke, questioning whether the ALL RED artist was really the Jesus lover he presented himself to be.

Playboi Carti posted a parking lot video mocking his ops around the same time as his beef with Lucki:

As per a report shared by Hotnewhiphop, Playboi Carti posted up in a parking lot back in September 2024 and seemingly rambled for a minute and a half. He mentioned Timeless, his collab with The Weeknd, though he seemed far more focused on mocking his ops, asserting,

"Should've signed to the O. I ain't worried bout nobody, " he shared.
"Say whatever they wanna say about me," he added.

The "O" was a reference to Carti's label, Opium Records.

That being said, the recent viral video of the alleged incident outside ComplexCon raised concerns online about safety at the festival. ComplexCon's website states that it has a strict zero tolerance policy on weapons, and event organizers noted that they coordinate safety plans with the venue, corporate security, and law enforcement, with both uniformed and undercover officers on-site.

The alleged incident took place on the opening day of ComplexCon's tenth anniversary edition, held Saturday and Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with concerts at nearby Crypto.com Arena. It was also the festival's first time in Los Angeles, after years in Long Beach and more recent editions in Las Vegas. Carti served as the event's artistic director, alongside Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara and his Fragment Design brand.

Lucki's former manager took him to court claiming years of covering his expenses wiped out his personal savings:

Mark Buol had been covering Lucki's bills for years. Hotels, travel, production, rentals. By the time he filed a lawsuit against the Flawless Like Me rapper in Manhattan federal court, he was done. As per a report shared by Complex, Buol was going after at least $1.5 million, claiming Lucki had never paid him back a dime.

The two had been working together since 2021. Buol was entitled to fifteen percent of the rapper's entertainment income under their agreement. The GEMINI! Tour is where things really fell apart. Lucki had apparently promised him a business bank account and a business credit card. Neither showed up. So Buol financed the thirty-city run himself and maxed out his personal credit cards doing it, spending $214,822 on travel, hotels, production and rentals alone.

The hotel damage was its own headache. A smashed television at Nobu Atlanta. Burn marks on furniture. Over $6,000 gone in a single night at the Tampa EDITION. A damaged room at the Thompson in Dallas. All of it charged to Buol personally. The damage surcharges alone ran to around $15,000. He also claimed Lucki owed him over $1 million in unpaid commissions from touring, merchandise, publishing and royalties.
