What happened to Nicole Scherzinger? Singer shares update after burn injury

Engaged to Scottish model Thom Evans, pop icon Nicole Scherzinger was involved in an accident right before she was about to go onstage for her live performance at PSD Bank Dome in Germany's Düsseldorf.

According to People, the lead vocalist of the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger, 48, who became a Tony Award recipient in June 2025, reportedly suffered burns and blisters after boiling water spilled on her leg an hour before her live performance on September 26, 2026. Despite the accident, the X Factor judge, Scherzinger, continued her live performance as planned and delivered a successful show.

The pop star-turned-Dirty Dancing actress, Nicole Scherzinger, took to her Instagram on September 27, 2026, and shared the news of her accident through an IG Story with a caption that read:

"Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set. But the show must go on. Thanks Düsseldorf for keeping me going. See you soon Amsterdam."

Building The Band judge Nicole Scherzinger, who was previously in a relationship with Bulgarian tennis star Grigor Dimitrov, is currently in the middle of her PCD Forever Tour, which celebrates the group's 20th anniversary of their first music album, PCD.

According to People, while other members of the Pussycat Dolls, such as Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar, are not part of the PCD Forever Tour, which will end on October 30, 2026, in Brazil's São Paulo, Nicole Scherzinger is currently touring Europe with Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt.

However, as cited by People, original members of the Pussycat Dolls, Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta, opened up and shared their thoughts on not being included in the PCD Forever Tour. Carmit took to her Instagram and shared a post regarding the matter, which read:

"I was not contacted regarding the group’s decision to move forward, and I learned of these plans at the same time as the public."

Carmit also added that:

She "would have appreciated direct communication."

Jessica Sutta, on the other hand, also shared her take on the matter by saying:

"I was never planning to return under the current circumstances, and unfortunately I’m still unable to dance due to ongoing health issues. Because of that, the recent news was difficult for me."

Pussycat Dolls cancelled the North American leg of their ongoing music tour

According to Variety, Nicole Scherzinger, along with Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts, who also had plans to perform across North America on their PCD Forever Tour, had to call it off in May 2026 because of insufficient ticket sales. The Pussycat Dolls shared a statement on social media at the time which read:

"Dolls: We want to share an important update with you. When we announced the PCD Forever Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates."

The statement added:

"Our U.K. and European dates are still moving forward as planned, and the response has been incredible, with several shows already sold out. We are putting everything into making this show a true celebration of the music and the memories, for the fans who have been with us from the beginning and those discovering us for the first time."

It further noted:

"We’re working hard to create the kind of show we’ve always dreamed of bringing to you. We cannot wait to bring this reunion to Europe and make these nights unforgettable."
