Fans were alarmed when Spanish singer Rosalía unexpectedly ended her Milan performance in the middle owing to health concerns. The sudden turn of events and the singer's obvious discomfort on stage, which happened during her ongoing LUX Tour, have gone viral.

On March 25, the 33-year-old performer stopped her performance to speak to the audience at the Unipol Forum in Milan. She stepped away for a moment before coming back to the stage to address the crowd directly, apologizing and stating that she was unable to continue physically. She added that she wanted the audience to have "the best experience possible," saying:

"I feel sick. I tried to continue, but I have to stop the show. I wanted you to have the best experience possible. This has never happened to me before, never in this situation. I pushed the show forward, but I have to physically stop — I can't continue."

In the video that has gone viral all over social media, the Despechá hitmaker can be heard saying:

"I tried to do this show from the very beginning even though I've been sick. I've had, like, really severe food poisoning and I tried to push through until the end, but I'm feeling extremely unwell. I've been puking backstage, and I really want to give the best show, and I'm basically on the floor trying my best."

The singer was only able to finish two of the show's four acts before it ended, according to sources. She had already performed several songs when signs of discomfort became noticeable, including coughing during parts of the performance.

Rosalía was clearly upset as the incident escalated. She admitted to the crowd that she had been "puking backstage" and that, despite her best efforts, she was having trouble moving forward. She even thought about getting medical help at one point so she could continue the performance, but in the end, she chose to stop it. She told the crowd:

"I'm so sorry, Milan, because I wanted the show to go all the way to the end."

She then blew a kiss to the crowd as she exited the stage, holding her stomach. For the thousands of fans in attendance, the early and sudden stoppage was disappointing as it was the singer's only scheduled stop in Italy.

Rosalía's LUX Tour, which started earlier in March in Lyon, France, and is scheduled to end in September in San Juan, Puerto Rico, included the Milan concert. This is her longest headline run to date, with dozens of events in Europe, North America, and South America.

The tour is in promotion of her fourth album, LUX, which has been described as a break from her signature flamenco and R&B rhythms and contains 13 languages, which include Spanish, Catalan(her mother tongue), German, English, Sicilian, and many more.

Rosália has received huge praise for her fourth album, as well as winning the best international artist at the Brit Awards last month.

As of now, there has been no update on whether the Milan show will be rescheduled. Rosalía is anticipated to resume her tour dates after she recovers. Her next stop is at the Spanish capital, Madrid, at the Movistar Arena Madrid on March 30 and April 4, 2026.

Fans have shown love and support for the singer; some have voiced their worries about the singer's health, while others praised her for trying to perform despite being unwell.

Rosalía's mid-show exit is the second incident this week in which an artist has had to halt their performance. Earlier this week, singer Toni Braxton also stopped her performance mid-show, after citing an "unexpected personal emergency."
