Journalist-turned-news anchor Connie Chung and radio reporter-turned-TV presenter, Maury Povich, are a power couple who are going strong together even after 42 years.

Connie, 79, and Maury, 87, who tied the knot in 1984, have been married for over four decades now and raised three children together. As per Entertainment Weekly, while speaking with comedian Adam Friedland on April 1, 2026, for Interview magazine, Maury Povich opened up about the initial days of his relationship with Connie Chung.

Before getting hitched to Connie, Maury Povich was married to Phyllis Minkoff, with whom he shares two daughters, Amy and Susan. After his split from Minkoff in 1979, Maury married Connie and adopted their son, Matthew. During their conversation, when Friedland told Maury that:

"You have the best life ever."

Maury Povich was quick to respond by saying:

"Only because I married Connie Chung."

When Adam Friedland jokingly called him a "gold digger", Maury, interestingly, revealed how, at the time, Connie Chung used to earn "10 times" what he made and sportingly replied:

"Absolutely. My wife was making 10 times what I was making when we got married. How's that?"

While both of them continue to have long and successful careers in television journalism, Maury Povich and Connie have a combined net worth of $80 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. While Connie has worked for CNN, CBS, MSNBC, NBC, and ABC, Maury has worked for FOX, Los Angeles CBS, and multiple local news networks. They also hosted Weekends with Maury and Connie for MSNBC in 2005.

As cited by Entertainment Weekly, Connie helped Maury to announce the launch of the On Par with Maury Povich podcast in a video that was posted by both of them on Instagram.

The podcast, which focuses on in-depth conversations with guests from various backgrounds, premiered on March 31, 2025. The first episode of the On Par with Maury Povich podcast featured Connie Chung and was interestingly titled How Maury and Connie Became America's Favorite TV Power Couple.

In the announcement video, which was jointly shared by both of them on Instagram, Chung tells Maury:

"Hey, Maury, you're launching a podcast."

As Connie initially struggles to say the name of the podcast, she eventually gets it right with Maury's help and encouragement.
