The UK-based radio DJ-turned-television host, Scott Mills, was fired from his job at the BBC, where he worked for 25 years, on March 30, 2026, as per the Daily Mail. It linked to allegation regarding his "personal conduct," and the specifics of the claims remain undisclosed.
The 53-year-old Mills, who hosted multiple shows, including The Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, was fired, reportedly in relation to a complaint regarding a "historic male relationship." The Mirror was the first outlet to break the news of Scott getting fired.
With Scott Mills getting fired suddenly, OJ Borg and DJ Gary Davies are currently hosting The Breakfast Show. While the Daily Mail stated that Scott Mills' unexpected exit from the BBC is related to a "historic male relationship from more than ten years ago," the BBC has chosen not to make any comments. The broadcaster has not commented on the radio star's personal conduct.
However, in an internal statement sent via email to other BBC staff on March 30, the director of BBC Music, Lorna Clarke, said:
"I know that this news will be sudden and unexpected and therefore must come as a shock. Not least as so many of us have worked with Scott over a great many years, across a broad range of our programmes on R1, 5Live, R2 and TV."
Clarke went ahead and said:
"I felt it was important to share this news with you at the earliest opportunity."
She further added:
"Of course, it will also come as a shock to our audience and loyal breakfast show listeners too. I will update everyone with more information on plans for the show when I'm able to. While I appreciate many of you will have questions, I hope you can understand that I am not going to be saying anything further now."
After firing radio star Scott Mills, the BBC released a statement

While Scott Mills hosted the immensely popular The Breakfast Show on Radio 2, he had previously hosted The Official Chart from 2018 to 2022 on Radio 1. With a successful career up until his recent exit from the BBC, Mills was also the host of a weekend show on Radio 5 Live. Besides being a radio DJ, he has also worked in television and was a part of the British reality TV series Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.
However, after Mills was sacked, according to the Daily Mail, the BBC released a statement, which read:
"While we do not comment on matters relating to individuals, we can confirm Scott Mills is no longer contracted to work with the BBC."
