On August 25, Tim Curry passed away at the age of 80. The Rocky Horror Picture Show star died in his LA home. The veteran actor was pronounced dead at the scene after the LA Fire Department was called over a medical emergency. Tim Curry is known for his roles in movies like IT, Clue, and Home Alone.As reported by TMZ, Tim worked on his final movie, titled Stream 2: Sudden Death, before his death. As of this writing, the release date of the upcoming movie has not been revealed. Earlier, the actor also played the role in the first part of the horror action film, Stream, which came out in 2024.The director of the upcoming movie, Michael Leavy, confirmed that Curry filmed all the scenes of the movie. Tim portrayed the role of Lockwood in the new movie.While talking to TMZ, Leavy said that he was shocked by the news of Tim’s passing. Michael dubbed Tim Curry a cultural icon. He added that his team was lucky to work with Tim Curry.The director also said that the movie will be dedicated to Tim. Michael went on to say that the late actor:"left an extraordinary mark on all of us, both personally and professionally."Leavy continued:"It's deeply meaningful to know that audiences will still have the opportunity to celebrate the work Tim brought to this role, and we're honored to help preserve that performance in 'STREAM 2: Sudden Death.'"Michael Leavy said Stream 2: Sudden Death will honor Tim Curry and Tony ToddMichael remembered Curry for his sense of humor, charm, and wit.
