The TPUSA member, Andrew Kolvet, called out Candace Owens amid her Charlie Kirk friendship claims on July 7. He said Owens’ exit from Turning Point USA was not ‘friendly.’ In his tweet, Andrew asked Candace whether she was really friends with Charlie.“Lol. You were always friends? Always? Are you sure you want to go with that, Candace? You want to tell everyone about your “friendly” exit from Turning Point back in 2019? Your narcissism and selfishness over the years has given me plenty to talk about.”For those unversed, Candace Owens was hired by TPUSA in 2017 to talk with campus students during Turning Point events alongside Charlie Kirk. The political commentator faced backlash for her remark related to Adolf Hitler during one of her events. She resigned from Charlie’s organization in May 2019 following criticism. Candace Owens shared her and Charlie’s picture, captioning it ‘we will win.’In his tweet, Kolvet wrote that Kirk and Owens were not friends and that Charlie managed her. He asked Candace to give some ‘genuine’ evidence of her friendship by showing recent texts instead of old chats with Charlie.“Candace, you and Charlie were not friends. He managed you. He kept things light and polite so you wouldn’t turn on the org. Show me any proof of genuine friendship from the last 12 months of his life? From the last 18 months? From the last 24 months? This is why when you tried to hire me in Feb 2024 for PR I agreed to go along with it against my better judgment, because Charlie asked me to keep you close and protect the org from you.
