Cincinnati Bengals offensive guard Dalton Risner and his wife, Whitney Marie Risner, have shared the heartbreaking news that they have suffered their second pregnancy loss in the span of just a few months. The emotional post came only weeks after the pair announced they were expecting their first child together. Whitney wrote as she shared photos of her and Dalton from their pregnancy beachside photoshoot:“💔 At 16 weeks, Dalton and I found out we lost our sweet baby boy. I wish I was writing any other post than this right now. I never imagined our journey to starting a family would begin like this. This is our second loss in just a couple of months.”She continued as she went on to praise her husband, Dalton Risner, who supported her through one of her toughest periods:“I don’t know exactly what the future holds, and that uncertainty is incredibly hard. But even in the midst of heartbreak and grief, I know God is still good. More than ever, I’ve realized how important it is who you marry and choose to walk through life with. Life is hard in so many different ways. I truly can’t imagine getting through this without my rock and best friend.”She added how the experience had changed her:“It feels like I’ve lost so much … our precious baby boy, pieces of myself, and the future I had planned out for the past 4 months. To everyone who has prayed for us, checked in on us, and loved us through this journey to starting a family, thank you. We are so grateful for your kindness.”She concluded her post by offering support to others experiencing similar grief.:“Sharing my life online means I get to celebrate the really fun moments with you guys, but it also means sharing the ones that completely break my heart. If you’re walking this same painful road, I want you to know that you are not alone.”How did Dalton Risner and Whitney Marie meet?Before being married in 2022, Dalton Risner and Whitney Marie had been dating for several years. According to Whitney, she first learned about the NFL lineman while attending Fort Hays State University, where she played college basketball.Their relationship did not start right away, even though they ultimately met while Risner was on vacation at Lake of the Ozarks, where Whitney was working a summer job close to her parents' house.Whitney was in a relationship when Dalton Risner later contacted her on social media. After Whitney was single for about a year, the two got back in touch on Snapchat and shortly thereafter began dating.
