Florence Pugh and Finn Cole made their red-carpet debut on Friday, October 9. They attended the premiere of the latter's movie, In the Shadows, at the 70th BFI London Film Festival at Vue West End.
The movie is based on the true story of Britain's first female Muslim boxing champion, Ramla Ali. Jasmine Jobson will play the boxer, while Finn Cole stars as Richard. The world premiere took place on Friday, and Cole attended it with his girlfriend, Florence Pugh.
The couple was first linked together in July 2024 after they were seen together at the Glastonbury Festival. They didn't confirm anything back then, but Pugh did say that she was dating someone new. They made it Instagram official in March this year.
Notably, during an interview with British Vogue in September 2024, Florence Pugh said about her relationship:
“We are figuring out what we actually are. And I think for the first time, I’m not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster. I’m allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.”
When asked what she was looking for in a relationship, she explained:
"Safety, family, a home. And security."
Meanwhile, at the premiere on Friday, the Black Widow star wore a gown from Wiederhoeft’s Spring 2027 collection, as per PEOPLE. It had a lavender top with a silver, sparkling skirt. Meanwhile, Finn Cole wore a black suit with a striped shirt.
Florence Pugh opened up about her relationship with Finn Cole last month

The Midsommar actress was the cover star on Vanity Fair's October issue this year, and her interview with the outlet was published on September 25. She made rare comments about her relationship with Finn Cole, but largely remained coy. She said:
“I don’t want to be a secret, but I also don’t want everything to be divulged. The important thing is that we’re happy, and I feel solid and safe and sturdy. And that’s worth its weight in gold in our lives.”
She added that she “might not tell you everything.” Moreover, Florence Pugh said that Finn Cole had joked with her that his name might come up in the interview. She said:
“I actually asked him, ‘I wonder if you’re going to come up (in the interview)?’ He said, ‘Well, shall I pop by?’”
In the aforementioned interview with British Vogue, Florence Pugh had also opened up about relationships and falling in love. She said:
“I believe that if magic is real, then it’s falling in love. And I am someone that loves falling in love. I love looking after people. I love caring for people. I love the feeling of someone being there. I love knowing that someone is thinking about me and someone cares for me in the same way that I’m thinking about caring for them.”
Last year, the Oppenheimer star said that she doesn't share her relationships much because people "don't care". She said that they only want a "story" or a "reality show".
