One of the Season four cast members of the popular reality TV series, The Traitors, Ron Funches, recently confirmed that he was indeed diagnosed with autism, following fans and viewers of the show reportedly suggesting he might be suffering from the condition, as per E! News.
The 42-year-old comedian turned actor, who starred in comedy series such as Undateable and Loot, took to his Instagram Stories on January 22, 2026, and wrote:
"Well the internet told me I was autistic and was right. You win this round."
Funches went ahead and added:
"Thanks @thetraitorsus for helping me find out more about me through some type of cruel trauma."
While concluding his message, Ron Funches took the opportunity to dismiss another reported fan theory about his sexuality and wrote:
"Still not gay yet."
According to US Weekly, the Carson, California-based comedian who was previously married to Christina Dawn, met her through a dating app and, after dating for years, tied the knot in 2020. The two shared a son, Teddy. After two years of marriage, Dawn and Funches eventually split in 2022. The Powerless actor filed a restraining order against Dawn after citing emotional and verbal abuse in 2024.
However, while Ron Funches shares his younger son, Teddy, with Christina Dawn, the mother of his first and eldest son, Malcolm, is still unknown. Interestingly, the stand-up comedian mentioned that he currently has a girlfriend, but chose not to reveal the identity.

According to E! News, The Traitors star, Funches' eldest son, Malcom, who is 21 now, was diagnosed with autism when he was just two years old. Ron Funches took to Threads:
“I honestly didn’t know I myself had Autism I thought I was just an ally and parent of an autistic child. But the way I felt I wasn’t being comprehended or understood while I thought I was being direct and seeing some of my own mannerisms made start the process of going to get a diagnosis."
Funches, who was recently diagnosed with autism, was always supportive of Malcom and celebrated his condition. In April 2022, Funches took to Instagram and wrote:
"Happy Autism Awareness Day! Thank you to my son who brought autism awareness into my life, and continually teaches me so much every day."
