Sabrina Carpenter has been granted a temporary restraining order against a 31-year-old man, following multiple alleged trespassing incidents at her Los Angeles home.According to court documents, the singer had no prior connection with the intruder identified as William Applegate, and first became aware of him on May 23, when he allegedly breached security fencing, approached her front door, and attempted to open it before security intervened.Police arrested him for criminal trespass.2024 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals - Source: GettyThe songstress filed a civil harassment restraining order on May 29. There, she alleges he returned less than 24 hours later and stayed in her driveway for around two hours, then appeared again on May 25. She also alleges that he:"physically grabbed the lever of my front door and forcefully pushed it down, actively trying to force his way inside my home without any invitation, permission, or consent whatsoever."She further writes in her declaration:“His pattern of stalking, trespassing, and surveillance has caused me severe and ongoing emotional distress, and I am in fear [of] what he may do if he is not restrained by this Court."Further in the filing, Sabrina Carpenter says that when a member of her security team "intervened and physically removed Applegate," he still "refused to comply."Sabrina Carpenter's stalker "taken into custody," singer says she still feels unsafeThe stalker allegedly stayed on the premises of the property until the Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived on the scene.According to Detective Peter Doomanis, in a separate declaration, Applegate was arrested and:"taken into custody for criminal trespass in violation of California Penal Code § 602(m)."Doomanis adds that his acts are counted as a misdemeanor as he entered and occupied:"real property or structures without the consent of the owner, their agent, or the person in lawful possession."2024 Governors Ball - Source: GettySabrina Carpenter describes feeling unsafe due to these repeated unwanted visits by Applegate, whom she also describes as delusional and mentally unstable.Jorge Lepe, the pop star's private security guard, says in his own declaration that on May 24, he saw an SUV pull up in the area approximately to Sabrina Carpenter's gate "and activate its hazard lights.""I observed an individual matching the description of William Applegate exit the SUV and walk toward a parked silver Toyota Prius."He adds that the intruder even fell asleep and re-parked his Toyota only about 30 feet from her driveway. When Lepe approached Applegate and asked him if he needed help, the latter simply responded with:"No, just chilling in my car."Per Sabrina Carpenter's security team, the trespasser's suspected activity began on April 20.William Applegate is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.
