On August 25, W Magazine released its latest interview with Harry Styles. During his interview, the Watermelon Sugar singer talked about the importance of fans and community to him. Among other things, Styles also got candid about the difficulty he faces while filling CAPTCHAs. The interviewer asked about how he feels when asked to verify if he’s a human by tick-marking boxes on a website.“You know those things on websites where they say to verify you’re a human, and you have to tick the boxes that have bridges in them?” the interviewer asked. To this, Harry Styles replied:“Yes. It’s like, What is a bridge? Or when they say, “Check every box that has a bicycle”—what if there’s a sliver of a bicycle? Who am I to say that box does not contain a bicycle? Where’s the line?”He playfully added:“I wish one could give a subjective answer verbally. Someone has to sit in front of you, and you could explain why this was. Why, to you, the shadow of a bicycle represents enough of the bicycle. Actually, it’s just a picture of a bicycle. You’re not a human. Don’t ask me if I’m a human. Where do you have the gall!”Harry Styles also talked about his fansThe host, Julio Torres, asked Harry Styles about the special energy of his fans during his shows and why he was so sensitive to that. To this, he said that fans have always been emotionally ‘generous’ to him. He added that he realized this after he took a break.“The fans have always been so emotionally generous toward me. I feel it now more than ever after taking a break from the road. When you’re around something all the time, it numbs you to it—like eating your favorite food all the time. The break recontextualized it. Black is most shocking on white.” Harry said.He talked about his break and said that the main reason for it was to adjust how he sees himself. In related news, Harry Styles recently performed in Mexico City amid his ongoing tour, Together Together. He kicked off his tour with Amsterdam in May this year, which will conclude in December with his last shows in Sydney.
