Latin American actor Alexis Ortega has died at the age of 38.The Mexican actor was best known for lending his voice to the Spanish-dubbed version of Spider-Man and other Star Wars projects. El Mundo confirmed his demise this week, though a cause of death has yet to be revealed. The voice actor had no known illnesses or injuries ahead of his shocking demise.Alexis Ortega was born in Mexico on August 31, 1987. He began his career as a voice actor in 2013, and has starred in major projects in the Latin American industry. Some of his best-known works include Captain America: Civil War (2016), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), and Avengers: Infinity War (2018).Alexis Ortega's life and legacy explored:In the wake of Ortega's demise, tributes have come trickling in. The Anime Latin Dub Awards (ALDA) said in a statement on social media:“We regret to inform you of the sensitive passing of actor Alexis Ortega. He was famously celebrated for lending his voice to Tadashi Hamada in Disney’s Big Hero 6 and Big Hero 6: The Series, as well as Finding Dory and Cars 3. Apart from dubbing, Ortega also worked on live-action television. He played the younger version of Jorge “El Burro” Van Rankin in Luis Miguel: The Series. More recently, he began dubbing online content as well, including Spanish-language versions of YouTuber MrBeast's videos.Fans have since begun flooding X with tributes."A great voice actor.
