When graphic artist Allan Peters uploaded a screenshot of A$AP Rocky's private Instagram conversation, the rapper publicly revoked an invitation to work with him, sparking an online discussion. Some believe that Peters fumbled his chance to work with the rapper; meanwhile, some believe that Peters was merely thrilled.

The dispute began when Peters shared a screenshot of A$AP Rocky's direct message asking whether he would be interested in redesigning a company logo. Peters captioned the photo:

"I have no words."

According to the screenshot, A$AP Rocky wrote:

“Good morning Allan. How much do u charge for brand logo revisions? Assuming you would be willing to do so I would be honored, love ur work, god bless.”

To which Peters replied before uploading screenshots:

"I'm star struck. Not gonna lie."

Rocky did not like the fact that the message was made public. Within hours, he responded in the comments, writing in all caps:

"THIS IS JUST DISTASTEFUL. WELL I GUESS WE WON'T BE WORKING. BEST OF LUCK BUDDY."

Peters later deleted the post and has not publicly responded to Rocky's comment.

The incident quickly went viral on social media. Many users criticized Peters for publicly disclosing what they believed was a private and confidential professional conversation before any collaboration had formally begun, noting that discretion is essential when working with prominent clientele.

Others backed the designer, claiming that he was merely thrilled to be contacted by one of music's top stars and saw nothing wrong with celebrating the moment.

While Peters has not addressed the controversy, he has continued to post Instagram Stories celebrating his recent achievement of one million followers on the app.
