The court battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has escalated over time. Multiple celebrities have weighed in on the situation, and now an executive of Sony Pictures called Blake Lively a terrorist during the It Ends With Us behind-the-scenes drama. According to testimony, this came after Blake Lively threatened to leave the film if her concerns weren't addressed.

The remarks came from Andrea Giannetti during her deposition related to Lively's legal fight with Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios. As per a report shared by People, Giannetti is an executive vice president of production and senior creative at Sony Pictures.

As per a report shared by ScreenDaily back in July 2025, Andrea Giannetti had been elevated to executive vice president, production, and senior creative for the label. Executive changes took place after the group president, Josh Greenstein's expected move to Paramount.

Giannetti began her career in TV at Sony. She originally joined Columbia Television in 1990 before she moved to TriStar. As per a report shared by Deadline in 2017, Giannetti became a creative executive in 1996. She joined Columbia Pictures in 1998. Giannetti was ultimately named executive vice president, production in 2003.

As per the report shared by People, Andrea Giannetti's testimony was unsealed on Tuesday, January 20. This came before a summary judgment hearing in Lively's ongoing lawsuit against Baldoni. The hearing is scheduled for January 22.

During her September 23 deposition, Giannetti confirmed that she made the comment to producer Jamey Heath. She had learned back then that Blake Lively had threatened to walk away from the movie and was adamant that a list of requested changes be signed without revision. The list is a 17-point list.

When asked directly whether she recalled telling Heath that she thought Blake Lively was a terrorist, Giannetti gave a simple answer.

"Yes," she responded.

Giannetti then explained that Sony had already invested roughly $28 million into the project at that point. And hence the studio faced the possibility that the film would be unreleasable if production did not continue.

"There was a tremendous amount of money that had been invested and spent, and we had to finish the movie or it was unreleasable," Giannetti said.

Andrea Giannetti also testified about what she remembered from conversations with Lively. She did not recall Lively telling her that Baldoni or fellow producer Heath had done anything specific on set in mid-May 2024 that made her feel uncomfortable. Giannetti, though, acknowledged her understanding that Lively had threatened to leave the project if her concerns were not resolved.

Justin Baldoni's former agent seemingly compared Blake Lively's behavior on the set of It Ends With Us to extortion. As per a report shared by Us Weekly in October 2025, Danny Greenberg had repped Baldoni at the time of filming the Colleen Hoover adaptation.

According to court documents obtained by multiple outlets on Monday, October 13, 2025, Greenberg testified in a deposition. He said that Lively's behavior and pressure towards Baldoni and the studio felt like extortion to him. Greenberg accused Lively of making an effort to gain control of the film.

Greenberg later clarified that he did not mean Lively was committing literal criminal extortion.

"My use of the word extortion there was referencing just cumulative behavior that both the studio and [production company Wayfarer Studios] and Justin was having to manage," he said in the deposition.

Lively first filed a complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department in December 2024. As per a report shared by ABC News, she accused him of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends with Us. Lively also accused both Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, of engaging in a social manipulation campaign to destroy her reputation.

Multiple celebrities have weighed in throughout the ongoing court battle. It Ends With Us author Colleen Hoover finally broke her silence in November 2025. As per a report shared by Elle, Hoover shared her feelings about the situation.

"It feels like a circus, when there are real people involved, with real feelings and emotions," the writer said.

Hoover then added that the drama had impacted some of the actors' careers in huge ways.

"I just find it all around sad," she added.

Lively's suit against Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios is ongoing, with a member of Lively's legal team sharing their opinion on the newly unsealed documents in a statement to ABC News,

"The newly unsealed evidence contains never-before seen testimony, messages, and evidence from numerous eyewitnesses backing the claims in Ms. Lively's lawsuit. The evidence includes Ms. Lively's own testimony describing the harassment she faced, as well as new evidence from numerous women describing their own disturbing experiences."
