Mark Zuckerberg's sister, Arielle Zuckerberg, recently opened up about her DJing skills. She revealed that she has been playing for several years now, but it is only a part-time quest for her.Arielle Zuckerberg, or AZ, is the youngest of four kids born to Edward Zuckerberg and Karen Kempner-Zuckerberg. Randi Zuckerberg is the oldest sibling, with Mark, Donna, and Arielle next in order. The youngest sibling is also in the technology industry, just like the Meta founder. However, on Monday, October 5, an X (formerly Twitter) user named Ben Bergman shared a video of Arielle Zuckerberg DJing at some event. Arielle, or AZ, quoted the post and wrote on Tuesday:"I’ve been DJing since 2018. I’ve played at clubs, small festivals, Burning Man, etc. I’m technically professional but it’s a side quest for me. I mostly play for/with friends to have fun and spread joy."According to PEOPLE, Arielle is largely a solo DJ and performed at the Burning Man Festival in 2022. She also has a duo named Ellen Ride, along with Raed Khawaja, and they performed at the festival in 2018 and 2019. In 2023, she also founded a conference called Learning Man, where people from tech teach a class on any topic. While some others taught sewing, cooking, and woodworking, Arielle took a class on DJing. Meanwhile, Arielle Zuckerberg is primarily a General Partner at Long Journey Ventures. She started her career as a product manager before moving into becoming a venture capitalist. According to the News Lens, she attended Claremont McKenna College and studied computer science, among other things. She started her career at Wildfire Interactive, which was later acquired by Google. She then joined Humin before switching to Venture Capital at Kleiner Perkins as a partner.Arielle then joined Coatue Management in 2018 as a partner, before moving to Long Journey Ventures four years later. When asked why she joined the industry, Arielle Zuckerberg, who was at Perkins at the time, said:"I was a senior in high school around the time Tumblr first came out, and I really got into making my own Tumblr themes and experimenting with HTML and CSS. That was the gateway, but I was primed long before that. Technology was a huge part of the environment I grew up in. My father always had the most cutting-edge technology in his dental office, and he taught my brother how to code in middle school."Arielle also spoke about how she faced numerous challenges because of her gender and her last name. She explained that people used to think she was "not qualified or didn’t deserve to be here". However, she revealed that she focused on herself instead of trying to prove others wrong.
