According to a recent news report by Entertainment News, singer Bonnie Tyler was placed in a medically induced after an emergency intestinal surgery.

Her manager Matt Davis told the publication on May 07 that the singer was induced into a coma by the doctors due for speeding up her recovery.

"Bonnie has been put into an induced coma by her Doctors to aid her recovery .We know that you all wish her well and ask for privacy at this difficult time please. We will issue a further statement when we are able to", added Matt Davis

Bonnie Tyler has been married to 1972 Olympic judo contestant and property dealer Robert Sullivan in July 1973. The couple does not share any children. Bonnie also suffered a miscarriage when she was 39 years old.

Born on June 08, 1951, Bonnie Tyler is one of the most celebrated Welsh singers. She was born in Skewen, Wales to housewife Elsie Hopkins and coal miner Glyndwr.

Bonnie now divides her time between a five-bedroom house in Albufeira, Portugal, and Mumbles, a neighborhood close to Swansea that is well-liked by celebrities, despite not earning anything from the worldwide success.

The star's neighbors in Mumbles are actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and her husband, Hollywood actor Michael Douglas, as well as Russell T. Davies, the showrunner of Doctor Who.

Since her first trip to Portugal in the 1970s, Bonnie has been enamored with the country. The Grammy nominee says she still records "new material because my fans cry out for it" and enjoys playing both her new songs and her "old hit records" when she does go on tour.
