Singer Chappell Roan has announced that she is severing ties with the sports marketing and talent agency led by Casey Wasserman. The news comes at a time when the agency’s CEO, Casey, allegedly had chats with Ghislaine Maxwell. On February 9, the Pink Pony Club singer shared a lengthy statement on Instagram, writing:
“As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman. I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values.”
Chappell Roan went on to write:
“I have deep respect and appreciation for the agents and staff who work tirelessly for their artists and I refuse to passively stand by. Artists deserve representation that aligns with their values and supports their safety and dignity. This decision reflects my belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust.”

According to IMDb, Casey Wasserman founded his talent agency in 2002. He also has a foundation by this name, which looks after initiatives in health, culture, arts, etc. Besides this, he is also the LA2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games chairman. Casey was previously married to Laura Wasserman.
Meanwhile, Casey shared a statement with The Hollywood Reporter, saying that his conversation with Maxwell took place two decades ago. He mentioned that he never had any “personal relationship” with Epstein.
A look into a few email exchanges between Casey Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell
Email conversations between Casey Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell came about in the recently released Epstein files. As seen in one of the texts sent by Casey on April 1, 2003, he asked Ghislaine where she was and that he missed her. He went on to write:
“I will be in nyc for 4 days starting april 22...can we book that massage now?”
Seemingly, Maxwell wrote to Casey in a playful and suggestive way. She teased him about whether he could handle her attention and said the idea made her feel excited. She joked about trying certain things to see how he would react and mentioned that an item he talked about was now kept in her bedroom. She also shared that she was traveling in Brazil and asked if he had ever been there. Casey Wasserman replied:
“Never...take me! Will you be in nye when I am there?”
In light of these events, singer and songwriter Bethany Cosentino wrote that Casey should step down from his position. Cosentino wrote:
“Staying quiet isn't something I can do in good conscience especially in a moment when men in power are so often protected, excused, or allowed to move on without consequence. Pretending this isn't a big deal is not an option for me.”
Bethany Cosentino suggested that the way Casey Wasserman responded to the present situation was not sufficient. She mentioned that regretting something without being accountable was only an attempt to do damage control.
