Dan Greaney, the longtime writer and producer, has officially announced his campaign for the 2028 United States presidential election. Greaney is known for writing a well-known episode of The Simpsons that seemed to foretell Donald Trump becoming president.In a May 27 Instagram video, Dan Greaney declared himself a “self-proclaimed prophet” while wearing a robe and grey wig, revealing his aspirations to become president. He said:“The United States was founded on a transcendental insight that all men are created equal, but now Trump, Vance, the billionaires, careerists, and cowards in both parties have turned their backs on it. It’s money, power, and security for them, but not for you.”Greaney went on to add:“In America, the government is supposed to work for everyone: democracy for all, accountability for all, prosperity for all. We must restore this. I’d love to help, but I’m not a lawyer, I’m just a self-proclaimed prophet who went to law school, graduated, passed the bar.”As he removed the suit, Dan Greaney said:“Wait! I am a lawyer! Screw it. I can be a politician. I’m running for president.
