The sons of the late Playboy titan Hugh Hefner dismissed an alarming claim from their father's widow, Crystal Hefner. Cooper and Marston Hefner denied her allegation that his scrapbooks contain photos of underage girls.

As per HuffPost, the brothers said in a statement that they reviewed the materials extensively over many years. Their mother is Hefner's second wife, Kimberley Conrad. As per their statement, historians, filmmakers, and journalists have also reviewed the scrapbooks and have both celebrated and critically examined his life's work.

"Over more than a quarter century of familiarity with these materials, we have never seen inappropriate images of minors, as has been suggested," they said.

The brothers talked about what the scrapbooks contain.

"The scrapbooks document decades of personal, professional, and family history. Our father lived much of his life publicly and assembled these materials as a historical record, with the intention that they ultimately be preserved and reviewed in full context, not hidden or concealed," they added.

Hugh Hefner, famous for founding Playboy magazine, passed away at the age of 91 in September 2017. He is survived by four children. He welcomed his daughter Christie and sons David, Marston, and Cooper Hefner between 1952 and 1991.

As per a report shared by the Los Angeles Times, Hugh Hefner's widow, Crystal Hefner, alleged that a foundation set up by the Playboy founder may have a decades-old collection of sexual images. She claimed some images are of underage girls that were taken without consent.

Crystal Hefner was flanked by attorney Gloria Allred. She said she filed regulatory complaints with the California and Illinois attorney general's offices. Crystal Hefner said she wanted to prevent any potential distribution of the images. She said her late husband's scrapbooks and personal journals contained them.

The two women said the documents are in possession of the Hugh M. Hefner Foundation. Gloria Allred alleged the foundation has specific materials.

"3,000 personal scrapbooks containing thousands of nude images of women and Hefner's diary, which contains highly personal information regarding his sexual exploits including names of women he slept with, notes describing the sex acts that they performed ... and in some instances even information tracking women's menstrual cycles," Allred said.

Crystal Hefner said the images were taken during sexual encounters between Hugh Hefner and the women. She claimed some of them could not make informed consent at the time, as they were under the influence after wild parties at the Playboy Mansion. She also expressed concern that some of the encounters involved minors.

"The materials span decades, including in the 1960s, and may include images of girls who were underage at the time," she said.

Crystal Hefner said Cooper and Marston can put their own naked bodies in a museum:

Crystal Hefner wrote in response on her Instagram after the HuffPost report was published. She did not consent to the public distribution or public access of photos taken of her privately. She added that she's seen the images in the scrapbooks. Crystal Hefner maintains that there are sexually explicit images of very young-appearing girls.

Crystal Hefner addressed Cooper and Marston directly.

"Cooper and Marston can rest easy knowing that their naked images are not in there. They can put their own naked bodies in a museum, not ours," Crystal Hefner said.

Crystal Hefner published her book Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself back in 2024. She sat down with The New York Times for an interview.

She said back then that she was still adjusting to life outside the mansion, as she lived there for almost a decade. She said she

"was rewarded for being small".

She's been trying to shed the conditioning that she endured within its lavish walls.

"Coming into power is a work in progress," she said.

Crystal Hefner reflected on her time at the mansion.

"At the time, I must've been brainwashed or something," she said.

Ms. Hefner met Hugh Hefner at a 2008 Halloween party at the mansion. The estate offered a glimpse at how the 1 percent lived. She writes in the book that she wanted to be part of it. She was 21 back then. She was one of many attendees in revealing French maid costumes. Hugh Hefner invited them to his bedroom to have group sex as the party wound down.

She soon learned that visits to the mansion often involved a

"trip to the bedroom at the end of the night."

She writes this in her memoir. She believed it was worth it back then.
