Jakob Butturff, an eight-time Professional Bowlers Association tour champion, has died at the age of thirty-two. No cause of death has been publicly revealed at the time of publication. PBA Commissioner Tom Clark paid tribute to the Las Vegas-born bowler, who attended Arizona State University before going on to become one of the most decorated players in the sport."Jakob was one of the most unique players in PBA history," said Clark. "Fans marveled at his delivery, as he rode a wave of strikes into becoming a top player in the sport, capable of winning at any time, in any event. Jakob was kind, he was respectful, and he was a champion. He will never be forgotten. Our hearts are with all Butters touched on his one-of-a-kind journey," added Clark.As per an obituary published by Legacy, Butturff won the 2019 USBC Masters along with seven other national PBA Tour titles.
