Who was Jung Eun-woo? All about 'Welcome to Waikiki 2' actor amid his sudden death at 39

South Korean actor Jung Eun-woo unexpectedly passed away on February 11, at the age of 39. Jung Eun-woo was best known for his role in the popular Korean drama Welcome to Waikiki 2. The exact cause of his death has not been revealed.

Born Jung Dong-jin, Jung Eun-woo debuted in 2006 in Roundup 3. He was known for his roles in films such as He Was Cool (Tutoring the Same Age 2), Bad Couple, and Miss Chang, and tv series like Hit, Chuno, The Man Called God, and Bride of the Sun. He had studied at Dongguk University’s Theatre and Film Department and won the New Star Award for Five Fingers at the SBS Drama Awards in 2012.

Jung Eun-woo's sudden death

What the internet is finding worrisome is that a day before his passing, he had posted a photo of Hong Kong singer and actor Leslie Cheung and late British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse with the caption,

“Missing, envying, regretting..PIR.BG”, on his social media account.

According to Chosun Daily, his wake was set up in a funeral hall of New Korea Hospital, and his final rites will be on February 13 at 12 pm KST. His social media is now flooded with condolences from fans and friends.
