On July 21, the deaf star’s father shared the tragic news of her daughter, Kaylee Hottle’s, death. The Godzilla franchise’s actress died at the young age of 18. Kaylee lost her life in a car accident.According to TMZ, authorities have confirmed that the late actress was travelling in a 1995 Honda Accord when the driver veered off a Maryland road and collided with a roadside ditch on Tuesday morning.As reported by The Sun, the police commented on Kaylee’s collision incident:“A 1995 Honda Accord, operated by a 19-year-old Frederick man traveled off the right side of the two-lane roadway and struck a culvert,” police said in the statement.They added:“Excessive speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.”Emergency responders, including an aircraft, promptly arrived at the scene of the car crash that resulted in the death of Kaylee Hottle. The actions of the emergency personnel are documented in the dispatch audio released by TMZ.Kaylee’s father, Joshua, shared the news of her passing in a 23-minute-long live stream. He explained in the situation in American Sign Language that he had to fly from Texas to claim her daughter’s body.In the video, Joshua can be seen at an airport, sobbing and struggling to catch his breath as he shared what happened. He captioned the emotional video:“I am taking a flight that I never would like to take.”Joshua added that shortly following this initial shock, authorities contacted him to let him know that her daughter's heart stopped beating on her way to the hospital after she was involved in a vehicle accident.Kaylee was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and comes from a line of deaf people. Kaylee's mother is Ketsi Carlson, and her father is Joshua Hottle, who is from Minnesota. Her mother was born in Korea, but after being adopted by a Wisconsin family, she relocated to the United States. Joshua and Ketsi are both deaf.
