According to a recent article by People, Dennis Quaid shared that God plays an important role in his marriage to his wife, Laura Savoie.
Quaid shared that when he met Savoie, he wasn't looking for romance, but God has played a significant part in their marriage.
Dennis Quaid met his Laura Savoie at a business event in 2019 and got married in June 2020. Savoie is the fourth wife of Quaid. Before Savoie, he was married thrice: to Kimberly Buffington from 2004 to 2018, Meg Ryan from 1991 to 2001, and P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983. He has twins, Thomas and Zoe, with Buffington, and a son named Jack with Ryan.
“God is in our relationship. That [had] never even occurred to me before,” Quaid, 71, talked exclusively in the most recent Us Weekly issue.
He added, "Well, I have a relationship with God, and she did, too, I thought, but to have God be the third entity in the relationship is kind of a new idea. But that’s really the way it is."
Although Quaid is unfamiliar with God being in his marriage, his faith has 'always' been a part of his life and work endeavors. Before being chosen to play Arthur Millard, the real-life abusive father of MercyMe frontman Bart Millard, in 2018's I Can Only Imagine, he made his debut in faith-based material with 2011's Soul Surfer.
