Korean actor Lee Sang-bo has passed away at the age of 43. Lee was found dead in his house and was discovered by a family member. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of death.

The exact cause of death has not been deduced, and upon immediate investigation, no sign of foul play was discovered.

Lee Sang-bo has had a colorful career in the industry spanning over two decades. Born in 1981, he started acting in 2006 with his first role in Invisible Man Choi Jang-su. His range and versatility grew from then on as he was part of projects like Bad Love, Private Lives and Miss Monte-Cristo with more prominent roles.

Though he slowly gained traction in the ever-booming South Korean entertainment industry, he became part of public scrutiny in 2022 when he was allegedly accused of drug abuse. He had been working on reinstating his career, as that incident had led to an investigation and widespread media coverage.

In the investigation, it was revealed that the drugs he was on were actually prescribed medication, such as antidepressants, because of which the case had been closed without charges. Lee Sang-bo had also been reportedly on medication due to personal problems.

The actor's funeral is expected to take place in the next few days.
