Grammy-winning Icelandic singer Laufey has parted ways with Wasserman, sources say, amid the scrutiny the agency is facing following Casey Wasserman's emergence in the Epstein Files.
The jazz-pop artist's departure from the company occurred amid the controversy, although Laufey's reason remains under wraps as to whether her exit is related to the ongoing scandal or not.
Laufey, who is in the middle of her European tour, has yet to release an official statement regarding the controversy and her withdrawal from the agency.

As of writing, Laufey is managed by Foundations, the same talent management company that handles Chappel Roan, Keshi, and more.
Meanwhile, a source also shared with The Hollywood Reporter that Laufey's decision to leave was announced before Casey Wasserman's plan to sell his company was revealed.
Casey Wasserman, a prominent entertainment and sports agent, appeared in the contentious documents, hinting at his connection to Jeffrey Epstein and his wife, Ghislaine Maxwell.
In the new files released by the Department of Justice, Wasserman tells Maxwell in his 2003 email that he had thought of her "all the time." His message went on:
"What do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit?"
In a separate email, he asked if a certain upcoming travel would be foggy enough for him to see Maxwell "float naked down the beach and no one can see you unless they are close up."
The stunning revelation fueled calls for his resignation as the current chair of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and prompted him to sell his eponymous agency.
However, the 51-year-old dismissed the clamor, claiming he had no "personal or business relationship" with the disgraced financier.
In an email he sent to his 4,000 employees, he expressed his deep apologies.
"I'm deeply sorry that my past personal mistakes have caused you so much discomfort. It's not fair to you, and it's not fair to the clients and partners we represent so vigorously and care so deeply about."

In his missive, he explained that his email trade with Maxwell—who currently serves her 20-year sentence for facilitating the child sexual abuse of Epstein—happened two decades ago, "long before her horrific crimes came to light."
The LA28 board echoed Wasserman's message, saying in an official statement:
"This was his single interaction with Epstein. Shortly after, he traded the publicly-known emails with Maxwell."
Laufey, Chappell Roan, and more depart from Wasserman
Before Laufey, Chappell Roan announced she would no longer be working with Wasserman. In an Instagram post, the Femininomenon songstress wrote:
"I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent, or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values. I have deep respect and appreciation for the agents and staff who work tirelessly for their artists, and I refuse to passively stand by."

Other artists who decided to leave the agency were country music singer-songwriter Orville Peck, North Carolina rock band Wednesday, and singer Weyes Blood. Peck also wrote:
"I have made the decision to no longer be represented by Wasserman talent agency. I leave with a huge amount of compassion for the rest of the agents and staff at the agency, who are being left with a situation that impacts all of our work and livelihoods."
Weyes Blood, on the other hand, stated on his Instagram:
"I have immense respect and affection for my booking agents, who are unfairly bearing the impact of the situation over at my booking agency, Wasserman. As I continue conversations with them about their futures, I want to be unequivocally clear: I will not remain with Wasserman. Casey Wasserman's behaviour is fundamentally at odds with everything I value."
Former football star Abby Wambach also confirmed she was leaving the company, saying:
"I know what I know and I am following my gut and values. I will not participate in any business arrangement under his leadership."
