Who is Natalia Bryant? Kobe Bryant’s daughter walks Victoria’s Secret show

Natalia Bryant made her debut at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Sunday in Los Angeles. The twenty-three-year-old is the daughter of the late Kobe Bryant, and was still a teenager when she lost her father and her sister Gianna in 2020. That being said, she has not been alone. Her mother, Vanessa Bryant, and her younger sisters Capri and Bianka have made it through together with her.

Backstage at the show, Natalia opened up to Page Six, sharing she was “seriously so over the moon” to be joining the cast of the annual lingerie spectacular.

“It feels amazing! I can’t wait,” Bryant said.

She then shared that the show had been a part of her life long before she ever set foot on that runway.

“I used to watch the show every year since I was a little girl,” she added.

As per a report shared by Harper’s BAZAAR, Natalia Bryant wore a Victoria’s Secret Pink look on the runway on Sunday. The black bra carried the brand’s name across the front in leopard lettering, layered under a hot-pink shrug. She joined an impressive lineup of returning names on that runway, including Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk, Alessandra Ambrosio, Joan Smalls, Alex Consani, and Jasmine Tookes.

Natalia Bryant on keeping Kobe’s memory alive as she builds her fashion career:

Over the past few years, Natalia has been quietly building up her fashion résumé. Her runway debut came at the Versace Spring/Summer 2024 show, and she has since walked for houses like Boss and Off-White. Campaign work for Adidas and David Yurman has also followed. This isn’t new territory with Victoria’s Secret either, as Natalia had previously appeared in a fall 2024 campaign for the brand’s sub-label, Pink.

As per a report shared by Teen Vogue in their September 2021 issue, Natalia Bryant spoke about her father, sharing that talking about him brings more joy than pain.

“I love talking about my dad. It’s bittersweet, but I enjoy talking about him more than it’s sad for me,” explained Natalia.

Natalia Bryant also opened up about how the family was carrying on after the tragedy, noting that keeping Kobe’s memory alive for her younger sisters was something she held close.

“You do the best that you can. My little sisters, we’re trying to keep that memory for them. And also just trying to remember to live out every day the way they would,” she said.

Natalia Bryant also shared in the same interview that her personal life remained firmly anchored in family and career. Dating, simply put, was not a priority.

“We’ve always been very busy. I’ve always been close to my family,” she said.

“I don’t want to remember high school as dating some guy that I’m most likely going to be hating next year. No room for dating,” she added.

Her mother Vanessa Bryant had also spoken to People back in March 2021, opening up about the grief that followed the loss of her husband and daughter.

“I can’t say that I’m strong every day, I can’t say that there aren’t days when I feel like I can’t survive to the next, ” Vanessa shared.

That being said, Vanessa made clear she refused to stay down for the sake of her girls.

“This pain is unimaginable but you just have to get up and push forward. Lying in bed crying isn’t going to change the fact that my family will never be the same again. But getting out of bed and pushing forward is going to make the day better for my girls and for me. So that’s what I do,” Vanessa shared.

Natalia Bryant once balanced a full USC course load with a modeling career on the rise:

Back in 2024, Natalia spoke to People while she was carrying a full course load at the University of Southern California alongside her modeling commitments. She was candid about how demanding that balancing act truly was.

“If someone says being a full-time student is not difficult, they’re lying because it is. That in itself is a full-time job. But I do think that having a great support team, family and friends has been the most important thing,” she shared.

As for the modeling side of things, Natalia made clear she had no intention of holding back.

“I want to embrace everything that’s coming,” she said.

Her ties to the entertainment world had already stretched beyond the runway by that point. In May 2023, Beyoncé released the full team list for her Renaissance World Tour, and Natalia Bryant was on it, having interned for the musician’s record label and management company, Parkwood Entertainment. The two had previously collaborated on Beyoncé’s Ivy Park campaign back in November 2021.

Natalia had also been making her presence felt on the red carpet. She attended the December 2022 premiere of Babylon in an asymmetrical bronze gown, made an appearance at the Met Gala in a look personally selected by Anna Wintour, and attended the 2022 CFDA Awards.
