Real Housewives of Miami fans recently found Peter Rosello back in the spotlight. The thirty-four-year-old son of Alexia Nepola took to Instagram on August 21 to publicly reach out to the family of Kroy "KJ" Biermann Jr., who had been arrested earlier this week on aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual assault charges in Alpharetta, Georgia. Rosello left a comment beneath a photo Kim Zolciak posted with KJ's younger brother Kash, writing,

"Stay strong lil bro! Trust me..this will all pass before you know it. Blessings to you guys🙏"

Alexia Echevarria was first introduced to audiences when the RHOM debuted back in 2011. Her two sons, Peter and Frankie, came from her marriage to Pedro Rosello, which lasted from 1992 to 1996. As per a report shared by People, Peter was born on August 11, 1992. After spending several years living abroad in Paris, he eventually returned to Miami in 2017, where Echevarria told Bravo.com in 2020 that he had taken up commercial real estate.

Peter Rosello has faced his own legal troubles in the past:

Rosello's comment comes with some backstory of his own. In January 2022, he was arrested in Miami and charged with a battery misdemeanor. As per a report shared by People, the alleged incident involved his girlfriend of three months, following a night out together.

The trouble reportedly started when she told him she planned to stay at her mother's home that night. Things turned physical at their shared apartment. The arrest report said Rosello

"placed his hand around her neck and pushed her backwards."

She tried to remove his hand. The report then noted he "proceeded to knee the victim in her crotch area, causing her to fall down to the ground," kicking her once more while she was already down. When she attempted to leave, the report indicated Rosello pulled her back inside. A neighbor stepped in and she called the police. Authorities who arrived found visible redness on her face and neck, and she was treated at the scene.

What led to Peter Rosello's charges being dropped:

Rosello didn't stay in legal trouble for long. As per a report shared by People, the Miami-Dade States Attorney's Office dropped the battery and domestic violence charges against him in February 2022, after the unnamed victim made clear she wanted no part in the case moving forward.

A closeout memorandum from the office confirmed she had also

"stated she wanted the Stay Away Order dropped."

Someone close to the family told People,

"Happy that Peter was vindicated by the justice system and they look forward to moving on."

His attorney Peter Heller put it plainly in a statement to People.

"After a prefile investigation of the case by the State Attorney's office, the decision was made not to file charges against Peter Alexander Rosello. There was no evidence to support allegations. The case was dismissed and is now closed."

Peter Rosello has a history of run-ins with the law:

The 2022 arrest wasn't Rosello's first. In 2012, he was arrested for attacking a homeless man, pleaded guilty and struck a deal that kept him out of jail. Then 2013 brought a separate incident entirely. North Miami police picked Peter Rosello up on marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia charges after a Fiat he was riding in as a passenger struck a parked unmarked police car and took off.

Officers caught up with the vehicle. A search turned up a backpack with a jar of marijuana and a pipe inside. Peter Rosello, no stranger to his mom's reality show cameras, admitted the bag was his, as per the police report.

Away from his legal troubles, Peter Rosello has also had a well-documented falling out with Echevarria's third husband, Todd Nepola, something Real Housewives of Miami viewers have watched unfold over recent seasons. Echevarria spoke to Bravo.com about it in January 2022.

"It's been going on for a few years. The viewers are going to see Todd's side of the argument, and they're also going to see Peter's side of the argument. And the truth is, you can never judge. You have to be at the moment and really know the whole story in order to form an opinion," she shared.
