Sara Gilson, a Tulsa area hairstylist and TikTok creator who recently went viral after accusing her estranged husband of being a pedophile, has died in what appears to be a murder-suicide.The 43-year-old influencer, who was known online as Sara Duffey, often talked about lifestyle topics on her TikTok page, such as beauty, fashion, and food.She also shared a few glimpses into her family life, sharing her father's artwork a few times, her kids, and even her relationship with her ex-husband, who went by Duff Daddy on the platform.View on TikTokMeanwhile, outside her career as a creator, she worked as a hairstylist, which she also showed on her page.Sadly, tragedy struck the family. She was found lifeless inside her home in Owasso, Oklahoma, on July 23. Police said her estranged husband, Jeremiah "Shawn" Duffey, 48, allegedly shot Gilson before taking his own life.The bodies were found by a young family member at around 11:15 p.m. and dialed 911, investigators said. She captioned:"I wish I was joking."View on TikTokThe video has garnered over 10.4 million videos only weeks after it was published.Court records show Sara Gilson filed for an emergency protective order against Shawn on June 10, claiming he had a gun and threatened to kill himself and then ran away after an argument.That same day, the mother of a 15-year-old girl Shawn allegedly coached in youth basketball filed for a protective order, accusing him of inappropriate sexual contact with her daughter and alleging he offered the teenager hush money, or money to remain silent.Both protective orders were continued June 23 as the court waited on the status of a criminal case. But Shawn had never been arrested before the shooting, nor had any criminal charges ever been filed.Sara Gilson also previously sought protective orders against him in 2021.
