Selma Blair was reportedly arrested on Sunday, October 11, for alleged assault on a flight. She also allegedly kicked a police officer and a nurse after being taken to a hospital.
According to NBC New York, the Port Authority Police Department got a call about a passenger who was abusive on a Delta Airlines flight. It took off from Los Angeles International Airport and was going to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City. It was later revealed that the passenger was Selma Blair.
The actress reportedly engaged in physical assault with two flight attendants, who both suffered injuries. She bit one attendant, and the other suffered a cut. Blair was eventually restrained, and the flight landed at Queens Airport. The Authority Police and the FBI arrested her and issued a violation summons.
She was then taken to the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she allegedly attacked two people. Blair reportedly freed her leg while on a stretcher and kicked a Port Authority Police officer. A nurse later reported that she was kicked as well.
Meanwhile, Selma Blair is a 54-year-old actress best known for her work in movies like Legally Blonde, Cruel Intentions, and the Hellboy franchise. She studied at New York University and the University of Michigan and started her career with TV ads. She made her feature film debut in 1996 with The Broccoli Theory.
The actress has also previously opened up about dealing with multiple sclerosis. On Monday, her representative claimed that the alleged assault on the flight happened because of her health issues. He said:
“Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition.”
Her lawyers paid a $20,000 bail bond on Monday, and she was released, leaving the court without speaking to the reporters.

“I made a big mistake yesterday. After a lovely trip with my son and his Dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret... I take this very seriously, and I apologize to all of the passengers and crew that I disturbed and am thankful to all of the people who helped me in the aftermath. I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry.”
