Speaking to Deadline, the veteran actress, 59, revealed that she was not contacted about returning for the sequel series, adding that she learned about the project without receiving an invitation to participate.

In the classic action-themed franchise centered on elite lifeguards, the actress portrayed lifeguard C.J. Parker for five seasons from 1992 to 1997, and became one of the show's most recognizable stars.

While she is not involved in the new series, Pamela Anderson shared that producers had previously approached her sons, Brandon and Dylan, about producing the reboot.

"I know that they were talking to my sons at some point about producing, but I don't think they had a meeting of the minds. I'm not sure what happened there, but I wish them well."

The reboot is expected to feature returning cast members, including David Chokachi, Kelly Packard, Michael Bergin and Shauni McClain, alongside newcomers Stephen Amell, Noah Beck, Brooks Nader, Shay Mitchell, Thaddeus LaGrone and Jessica Belkin.

Despite the exclusion, the actress said she has no plans to reprise her iconic role. In her interview, she reflected fondly on her years filming the TV series.

"It was a great job, and I loved going to work every day on the beach. Everything I've done has led me to here. At the time, it taught me a lot, and it gave me worldwide exposure. Everything I've done has led me to here, which is a blessing."

The Naked Gun actress also shared that she is focused on pursuing new creative opportunities following recent acclaim for her performance in The Last Showgirl, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

Looking ahead, Pamela Anderson said she wants to challenge herself with unexpected roles.

"I want to surprise people. I'm trying to do things I haven't done in the past."

Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson's rumored romance

The news comes a year after Pamela Anderson's speculated romance with Naked Gun co-star Liam Neeson.

Per an insider's report obtained by People, the veteran actor was "intrigued and smitted" with Anderson since the first day of filming of Naked Gun.

"Pam and Liam are a good match because they have similar personalities and understand each other."

The source continued:

"Liam is quiet and introspective, and Pamela brings this fun curiosity that he really enjoys."

In late July 2025, the pair was reportedly officially dating, with an insider revealing to the outlet:

"It's a budding romance in the early stages. It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other."

However, neither Anderson nor Neeson confirmed the nature of their relationship.

That August, Anderson appeared on the Live With Kelly and Mark podcast, where she discussed her rumored love affair with the Schindler's List star.

"Why does there have to be a status? I'm enjoying the moment and he's not here to say anything, so I'll just say I'm enjoying this and enjoying being around him. We just have a really special connection."

The Baywatch alum, during the episode, continued by showering Neeson with praise, something they had been trading for the past months at the time.

"I love Liam. He's one of my favorite people. He's incredible, and he was so wonderful on the set too."
