Kate Cassidy has revealed she is in the process of removing one of the tattoos she got in memory of late Liam Payne.

On July 28, the social media influencer shared updates from a laser tattoo removal appointment at a Miami studio, posting a photo and video to her Instagram Stories.

The treatment focused on the "444" tattoo on her hand, which she previously dedicated to Liam Payne after his death.

After fans noticed and questioned the procedure, Kate Cassidy explained that her decision was not about erasing the tribute itself. On her Stories, she reasoned that the ink was unsatisfactory.

"I decided to get some tattoos removed that were done poorly."

The influencer still has several other tattoos honoring the late One Direction star, including angel wings, the initials "LP" on her wrist, a wilted rose on her thumb and the number four tattooed on her left ring finger.

When Cassidy first got the "444" tattoo nearly two years ago, it was widely associated with the couple's "angel number," which many believe symbolizes love, guidance and support.

Her latest update reassured followers that the meaningful design is not disappearing permanently, but will instead be replaced with an improved version.

Kate Cassidy reflected on Liam Payne's death: "I would have never left Argentina"

Liam Payne, a former member of megastar boy band One Direction, died in 2024 at the age of 31. The singer passed away after falling from the third-floor balcony, where he sustained multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding, according to the initial autopsy.

The tragic incident occurred on October 16, 2024, at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Per the toxicology reports, released a month after his death, experts discovered traces of alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant in his system when he died.

Meanwhile, since his passing, Kate Cassidy has continued to honor his memory through social media posts and personal tributes, including the collection of tattoos inspired by their relationship.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, months after his death, she described that losing Liam Payne, whom she had been dating since 2022, was "tragic."

"I never did think [he might die young]... I just never thought this would have happened."

During the conversation, Kate Cassidy also described Liam Payne as her "charming soulmate" and someone she planned to marry someday, as well as the last time they were together.

"Love is so optimistic, and you just hope that everything will work out at the end. Obviously if I knew, if I could see into the future, I would never have left Argentina."

She added:

"I had a responsibility, we had a responsibility. We had our dog and obviously I never, ever thought this event would occur ... But, you know, we did have our own separate lives. This wasn't the first time we have travelled separately."
