But I like to think of it (as) more of an honor and a privilege for us to be the ones who have the power to represent so many young girls around the world, even if it's having that role of being someone they can look up to."As Billboard noticed Bannerman’s representation of her culture, from incorporating Ghanaian waist beads into outfits to wearing several braiding patterns, the pop star spoke about the importance of it. She mentioned that representing her culture is "one of my favorite things about this."Bannerman noted that representation is not part of the job, but more about her drive to "live and represent for others."Katseye is a global girl group involving members from different cultures: Sophia, a Filipino; Daniela, an American of Latino origin; Lara, an American of Indian descent; Manon, Swiss with a Ghanaian father; Megan, a Hawaiian American; and Yoonchae, who is South Korean.
