On September 28, TMZ reported that Hayden Panettiere’s ex-fiancé Wladimir Klitschko filed for temporary guardianship of their daughter Kaya to safeguard her property rights over the late actress’s estate. For those who don’t know, the Scream star died on August 16 in Greenville, South Carolina. Hayden and Wladimir were in a relationship for around ten years, and together they had a daughter, Kaya.Therefore, after her death, Kaya’s father appealed to be appointed as her temporary guardian. Wladimir claimed that Kaya is the sole heir to Hayden’s assets, as the actress died without a will.As per TMZ, Wladimir said Kaya is:"Not a resident of California; this Court has jurisdiction over the guardianship of Kaya's estate because, as such heir, Kaya is entitled to the entirety of the assets subject to Hayden's probate administration in California."In his petition, Hayden’s ex claimed that federal agents took things from Hayden’s home during an investigation. Thus, he wants to be a representative for the late star to get the items back after the investigation ends. Wladimir Klitschko mentioned that Panettiere hired a security service to protect her home before she died. He also showed concern because someone allegedly entered Hayden Panettiere’s property without permission after her passing. Klitschko said that after Hayden died, a company changed the locks at her home.Wladimir further stressed his appointment as the representative, saying that this would safeguard Hayden's home and its contents from misappropriation. He said:“It is expected that the individual will continue to try to misappropriate property belonging to Hayden's estate. Given the high publicity of Hayden's estate, a personal representative needs to be appointed immediately to safeguard and protect Hayden's home and contents."Wladimir Klitschko also gave tribute to Hayden Panettiere after her deathEarlier on August 18, the former Ukrainian boxer shared an emotional tribute following Hayden Panettiere’s death. On his social media, he praised the actress for building a successful career with her talent. He wrote:“She left this world far too soon. Hayden was, although no longer my partner, an important part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya. She built an incredible career through immense talent, while also facing the darker sides of a very demanding industry. Nothing will erase the times we shared or the place she had in our lives.”He added:“To our daughter Kaya, I will always speak of her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was.”After their first meeting in 2009, Panettiere and Klitschko were in an on-and-off relationship. The couple got engaged in 2013 and welcomed their daughter, Kaya Evdokia Klitschko, the next year. A few years later, Hayden Panettiere parted ways with Wladimir in 2018.
