"You have got to be kidding me": Zack Peter seemingly outraged after Savannah Guthrie makes rare comment about mom Nancy on Today show

Zack Peter has opened up about Savannah Guthrie's recent comments about her mother, Nancy Guthrie. He expressed his annoyance at the media calling her statement breaking news instead of providing an update on her mother.

Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on February 1 this year. She was last seen on January 31, but didn't attend the church the following day. A member of the church alerted the family, who didn't find Guthrie at her home.

The authorities have been looking for her ever since, but haven't been able to find her. Amidst this, Savannah Guthrie recently referenced Nancy during her appearance on the Today show. When asked by a co-host if she had Irish descent, she said:

“My mother’s family w-, my mother was Irish, her grandmother. They were from Galway.”

Podcaster Zack Peter reacted to the media labeling it Breaking News and said in a video on X (formerly Twitter):

"Breaking news? Like that, that's breaking news that her mom was Irish. How about where the f*ck is her mom? I don't care where her mom came from. I care where her mom's at now. Where is her mom? Where is the lady? What happened? We lost a whole lady."

"Where's Nancy Guthrie? Nobody knows. Maybe they'll find her in Ireland. They'll find her in Galway. I can't. Like, I just... I literally can. The fact that this was a headline, the fact that this was breaking news. I was just like, You have got to be kidding me," he added.

The authorities had previously received multiple ransom letters, allegedly from Nancy Guthrie's kidnappers. However, they haven't been able to find her so far.

Savannah Guthrie has made multiple appeals for help in Nancy Guthrie's disappearance case

Since Nancy Guthrie's disappearance in February, Savannah Guthrie has shared multiple videos on social media. She initially pleaded with the kidnappers to release her mother. She and her siblings then urged the public for help, declaring a $1 million reward for any evidence.

However, they haven't been able to track down her mother. Savannah Guthrie last spoke about it in an Instagram video on August 1, saying:

“This is our beautiful mom. Six months ago, someone took her out of her bed in the dead of the night. We have lived every moment, every breath and every heartbeat in agony and despair ever since."

"There is a hole inside us that can never be filled. There is an ache that cannot be softened. And there is a determination in us that cannot be quenched, to find out what happened to her, so that we can give her the dignity of a proper goodbye, a celebration of her remarkable life that she so deserves,” she added.

She further urged people to come forward with any information they might have about Nancy. She added that they can do so anonymously and repeated that the reward is still on the table.

Meanwhile, the Pima County Sheriff's Department has told NY Post that the investigation is “active and ongoing”. They added that they are receiving tips and constantly reviewing them to find Nancy's whereabouts.
