Kristi Noem and her husband, Bryon Noem, have made multiple headlines recently after cross-dressing photos of Bryon became public. The ex-Homeland Security Secretary and her husband caught the attention of The Daily Show, rotating host Desi Lydic.

Lydic shared her comedic take on the situation and went after Kristi Noem for her alleged extramarital affair with top aide Corey Lewandowski.

"She's had a bad time recently. She lost her job. We found out about her affair and how it happened on a taxpayer funded plane," shared Desi.

Desi then discussed the viral Daily Mail report next. The outlet reported that Bryon is a secret crossdresser who wears gigantic fake breasts and pink hotpants while chatting with online fetish models.

"I can't believe the lady banging her employee on a plane is the less messy one in their marriage. You know what? You live your truth, Bryon," shared Desi Lydic.
"If she had an affair, you have a free pass. You can do whatever you want. I support you and your beautiful lazy eyed balloon nipples. Oh, truly, I have never felt more seen. You know what they say, sometimes they're sisters, not twins," added Desi Lydic before moving on to the next topic.

Claims that Bryon Noem shared cross-dressing photos online caught his wife, Kristi, off guard after President Trump fired her in March. As per a report shared by the Independent, the allegations devastated Kristi Noem and left her open to blackmail.

The Daily Mail got hold of damaging images of the insurance executive and stated that this happened at the time his wife led the Homeland Security department and rolled out Trump's sweeping anti-immigration policies.

Representatives for Kristi Noem issued a statement to The New York Post.

"The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time," the statement read.

National security experts told the outlet that the photographs might have fallen into the hands of hostile intelligence services. Bryon Noem received multiple money requests from people he connected with online while his wife worked at the department. As per the Daily Mail, he paid out at least $25,000.

U.S. counterintelligence expert Jack Barsky shared his perspective with the newspaper.

"It's astounding that somebody whose spouse is at that level has that kind of bad judgment," Barsky said.

Former CIA officer Marc Polymeropoulos discussed the security risks.

"If a media organization can find this out, you can assume with a high degree of confidence that a hostile intelligence service knows this as well," said Polymeropoulos.

He added more about how espionage works.

"Damaging information like this can be a tantalizing lead for a hostile intelligence service. They approach the person and say, if you work with us we won't expose this, and if you don't, we will. That's espionage 101," Polymeropoulos added.

Bryon Noem denied that his alleged behavior put his wife at risk of blackmail when the Daily Mail contacted him by phone.

California Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove questioned Kristi Noem directly about her relationship with top advisor Corey Lewandowski during a House hearing. As per a report shared by the Independent on March 4, 2026, the confrontation happened during testimony.

"At any time during you tenure as director of the Department of Homeland Security, have you had sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski?" Kamlager-Dove asked.

Noem responded with shock.

"Mr Chairman I am shocked we are going down and peddling tabloid garbage today at this committee," Noem said.

Bryon Noem had been sitting right behind his wife during the hearing. He left the room before the question came up.

The uncomfortable exchange happened during the House Judiciary Committee hearing. Kristi Noem also faced intense questioning about her handling of the Minneapolis immigration enforcement crackdown. The operation resulted in two protesters dead.

Kristi Noem refused to directly deny the situation, which led Kamlager-Dove to continue.

"It is ok for you to be offended by the question. But it is a real question and you should be able to answer the question clearly and without any hesitation if someone is asking if you or any federal official is sleeping with their subordinate."
"You should be wanting to answer that question because it is not about your sex life, it is about your judgement," Kamlager-Dove added.

As per a report shared by CNN, Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma replaced Kristi Noem.
